Well pun means "A humorous play on words" there for I think that you would have to put the pun to your image as part of the challenge. Oh and if you take pun as a play on words then I guess you could have a whole poem of pun to it as long as it goes with your image! Lets see what DB has to say on this one

LOL!Knuckle sandwich!That's great!
I'm not sure why so many are having a hard time with this.Surely all languages have 'plays on words',it's the basic foundation of humor.
If someone has a saying in their own language, they should do it in their own tongue.I think that would be great!I love learning about other languages.
But first, they have to 'get' what this challenge is about.
I know I tried to explain it as best I could.I don't know what else can be said, except for us to upload examples as you have done here,Joe.
GREAT shot...and I admire your effort.
Hope it's seen by many.

OK...I may be totally off base here, but from my view, I feel that the Visual Wordplay challenge needs a bit more clarification. I didn't think the idea was to create a poem or add EXTRA verbage along with your entry and have to EXPLAIN it really. In my mind, the IMAGE would SPEAK for ITSELF and you would immediately GET IT....right off the bat!
I mean, we can take ANY picture and put WORDS to it RIGHT?!?! But the CHALLENGE here is to come up with something VISUAL that communicates an IDEA or PHRASE.
Take the challenge example TIME FLIES.....(you see a clock in the air...maybe it has feathery wings...or you might take a picture of a clock with a bunch of FLIES on it)
Ok here's another example...one I did awhile ago! Do you GET it?!
Now since we are an international community, some of the things we come up with might not translate well in another language, so this is where I think the confusion may come into play.
Maybe I'm making too much of it....oh well! Interested in what you all think anyways!
