no, this is not a c&d post! well, okay, it is, but people should be warned about this!! all right, i have one horse figure, and one tail figure. i very painstakingly create a walk cycle for the horse. i save it as a pose file, i save all the frames, i select a subset and save everything except the ground plane. then i do the tail animation. i resave the pose file, i save all the frames, i select all the subsets, blah blah blah. i go to check the pose file. i apply the pose/animation. the tail applies. there is NO horse. it's gone! that's the SECOND smegging time poser erased my smegging walk cycle!!!! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! and i did everything RIGHT this time!!! poser ONLY saves the smegging character you have selected, even if you select them all in the select subset thingy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ::sob sob:: horse gait pack 1 is gonna be delayed some more. :(

Not nice. Maybe you need to save the pz3 as a safety check also?

Yeah I think that to. If it fail you can do it again.

LOL! I forgot if you are a northerner or not Bloodsong. But it's gorgeous outside here in NY. Put that thing away and go outside and play in the sunshine. ;-P ScottA

If the horse is one figure and the tail is another figure, as Bloodsong seems to say, what he seems to want is a pose file that poses two characters at once. I also would like e.g. a pose file that can pose a man and also my flamethrower model and parent and IK-parent the correct parts of each to each other, etc. Likewise it would be useful if a pose file could automatically load and pose props such as a hair or a weapon. Oh well, perhaps the same day as NASA has a Grey astronaut ...

What about having 2 identical horses animated in one project. Do the tail pose import, then cut & paste the frames for the horse from the extra horse to the primary horse. Comprende. I'd have to assume the program is screwy. Pack

no no no.... i'm saving (or TRYING to) the animation as a pose file. you can do that, you know. i tell it to add to the library. i press the select subset button. i make sure everything in both figures is checked. i save. IT DOES NOT WORK. it does NOT save everything that i checked off, it ONLY saves the figure i had selected at the time i added it to the library. yes, i can save as a pz3, and yes i can do whatever with two horses and what not. i can even save a horse-walk pz2 and a tail-walk pz2. i'm just saying, when i save both, it doesn't work. (not to mention, if i overwrite the pose file, it loses all my data!) so if i were making a multi figure pose and/or animation that i wanted to save in the library, and post for people to download, etc. I CAN'T. it doesn't work. poof. end of story. :) well, i DID save a pz3 of my trot file, but not the walk :/ ::sigh::
