I think the freaking title of this thread says it all.

Just a thought, does the magic 8 ball come with an FAQ?

I don't do texturing because I find it too tedious and I'm not very good at making nice looking morphs yet, so I haven't packaged anything up.  However, maybe that tutorial will help you with what you are seeking.

Don't quit :(  Quitters never get anywhere.  Stick with it.  You find it frustrating right now because you are trying to learn it.  Keep with it until you do. Be determined to learn what it is you want to learn, and once you do, write up a tutorial on how to do it so that other's don't feel as frustrated as you do.

That's what I do with things I've found hard to learn.  I found Poser very hard to pick up. It was almost 6 months before I managed to get a figure dressed and a render done, and that was only because someone finally took pity on me and walked me through doing it over ICQ.  I know the frustration and how stupid I was feeling because I just couldn't figure it out, so that's partly why I try so hard to help new users to the program.

Don't give up!!!  :)

Exactly.  Take a break and come back and look at it with fresh eyes and a new perspective.

@ Acadia - thanks for posting that link - I did have it myself, but it got lost.  Have now saved it for future use - tho I've used Poser since Dec 04, I still don't feel competent enough to write a tut 😄  Have a nice Sunday - Sheila

...roll up your sleeves.  You can do it.  One of my favorite business heroes, Mary Kay of Mary Kay Cosmetics, once said, "If you think you can, you can.  If you think you can't, you're right."

Can I download it for free 😕 And http://www.nerd3d.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=13 this tutorial I dont even understand... explain someone puh leeeeez....

You can get the injection pose builder at Daz.  Here is the link.

What don't you understand in the tutorial?  All of it, or just certain parts?  If only parts of it, which parts?

What gets me is that Daz foist this INJ mess on us in a misguided attempt to clamp down on their IPR, and then expect us to pay for the privilege of helping them with their IPR issues. Talk about cheek ...

Gareee ( ) posted Mon, 15 May 2006 at 10:24 AM

Actually, Injection tech was developed to help users with low system resources, and underpowered systems still "stay in the game" using more involved poser content.

There are a number of variants of adding and removing morphs into characters, and injection tech was Daz's method of choice.

Personally, I inject everything in the figures and then save them complete.

Hell, I merged Capsce's Boopsie morphs into Girl, along with my OWN morph set, AND Daz's "official" morph set as well. That's a BIG cr2, but I can make Girl do just about anything I choose with it.

Attached Link: THE TUTORIAL I DONT GET

This is all getting to sound like its beyond me, I am not even sure my work is worth the frustration.... :crying: What I dont understand of the attatched tutorial is as follows: With a text editor enter the following text... { version { number 6 } injectPMDFileMorphs MyFigure.pmd } Change the "MyFigure.pmd" to the name of your saved PMD file Save this in your Pose library with as PZ2 file extension With you operating system file manager move or copy the PMD that was saved with you figure in part one to the same folder as the PZ2. That is all there is to creating a basic morph injector for Poser 6. The target figure needs no special treatment. Poser 6 will create any needed morph channels. But we are just getting started. Next we will setup some FBM channels with our injector OK I get that you have to put that information into a text editor and change the name, that is straight forward, BUT what is the following about??? **With a bit of planning ahead you can use injection files to create Full Body Morphs (FBM) and Partial Body Morphs (PBM) Two new commands can be used to set up EMC (Extended Motion Control) with your injection file, "createFullBodyMorph" and "attachFBMdial". Here is how it works. First the Really quick'n dirty way. When you create your full body morphs give then all the same name, something like "MyBodyMorph" (Probably shouldn't have spaces) Add this line to your Injector createFullBodyMorph MyBodyMorph Add this right after the "InjectPMDFileMorphs" line That's all, really, Poser 6 will create a Full Body Morph dial and link all the morphs with the same name to that dial. Now, what happens if we need to hook morphs with different names to a Body dial? No problem use the "attachFBMdial" command. It works like this. Create the morphs in your figure with unique names. Add the Full Body dial just as before, be careful the dial has a unique name. If there is a morph with the same name it will be linked like it or not. Add the following line to your injector attachFBMdial MyBodyMorph WeirdExtraMorph This links all the morphs named "WeirdExtraMorph" to the Full Body Morph dial named "MyBodyMorph" obviously you'll want to use the names of the real morph targets you create. If you want to link more than one morph to a dial just keep adding "attachFBMdial" lines till they are all linked ** And so on from there.. Maybe Im an idiot but NONE of that makes sense to me.. 😕 :cursing:

Gareee ( ) posted Wed, 17 May 2006 at 9:40 AM

No, so I said. and you have to keep in mind there are still a LOT of P4 users with Win 98 systems trying to use advanced figures like V3 and David, who could NOT do so without injection tech.

Look at my products.. non eof them have injection tech, and avoid it by all costs personally, but that doesn't mean there isn't a need for it in other's poser usage.

Stop looking at your petty personal issues with Daz. and look at what other users actually are trying to do and need.. and if you can, come up with a better solution for them as an alternative to what you believe is a political agenda Daz has. And if you can't, then you really have no leg to stand on, do you?
