Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 24 6:22 pm)
Not as far as I'm aware.
Have you made any custom content for Sims before? If it now allows custom animation sequences... well, Sims 2 models are actual meshes rather than sprites now. So you'd need to animate the actual Sims mesh. I'm not aware of a conversion between Poser proporietary format and Sims.
But I'm not much of a modeller so I haven't really played with making custom content yet. (I'm a big Sims freak though )

The only program that I know that deals with animations for The Sims is SimPose.Sims 1? No idea then. I uninstalled that a year ago when Sims 2 arrived and haven't looked back since

I built some content for the Sims 1, original figures in fact.
I've looked into doing the same for the Sims 2, but from what I've found out that would be very, very dificult. I think they went out of their way to make it so only they could provide content, the files are in binary form, all compresed into into a single file. There are some tools available but it isn't going to be easy to do anything other than what they want you to do. As Chelonov said, it is very complicated.
Sort of a shame, really. I only bought the game to see if I could work with it.
If there is an import/export script for Blender which will handle the Sims 2 figures, you can use .bvh motions exported from Poser in that. I haven't seen such an I/O script, but I also haven't looked for one....

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

Hello,
As sims 2 can be modified, can i create my own custom character animations in Poser and then export it into Sims 2 as a behaviour.
I actually want to do an animation in which parent lift up a child and kiss it's cheek.
Note: Please don't ask me to go www.modthesim2.com as i totally explored the site and i can't find any tutorial or forums helping on coustom animations.
