I stumbled upon this site. Electric Sheep. It's a free Open Source distributed screen saver for fractals.

I downloaded the torrent version and plunked it on my computer. After many hours I was pleasantly surprised. It's wild really.

It takes up lots of room though but you can set that.

this is an ubelievable program.  The concept is really mindblowing,  flames randomly generated from previous generations of randomly generated flames, constantly evolving.  Well worth checking out.

Somebody discovered a bug in the torrent version that was preventing it from updating. The beta at the bottom there seems to have fix that problem so if you installed the official torrent version you may want to get the new beta torrent instead. Seems to work just fine. I have new sheep to look at now. Some are awesome.

Two things I recommend. View them full screen and edit the sheep images so they are way smaller.  They're indexed png files though so you might want to make a back up of them first. I made mine smaller and offset it so it appears only on the bottom right hand of the screen instead of dead center blocking the view.
