Subject: Apples (the fruit, not the computer)

I'm trying to make an apple using procedural textures...any clue as to how I would go about doing this? I've tried out the various noise functions, but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm not sure exactly what you mean.  This would be a 'random' pattern of apples that you want to create by manipulating a noise function to get it to look like an apple?  Or you want it to look 3D?  To what end?  I'm confused.  Please illustrate a bit for us slow people.

Perhaps I was a bit confusing. I don't have a texture map of an apple, so I was trying to emulate the look of an apple using functions using AFE. The noise function was only an example showing that I have been trying, but have had no success as of yet. I don't want the function to only use noise functions or anything like that. I just want to make it look like an apple without texture maps. :)

Again, any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

I have created one but can't seem to upload. IM me with your e-mail and I will send it to you.
