Subject: can all of Vicki 3's morphs be transferred to Laura or just some of them?

Hi, I was wondering how to transfer or inject some of Vicki 3's morphs into the Young Teen Laura, and if it is only some of them can be injected or all of them. Anyone know?

ynsaen ( ) posted Thu, 15 June 2006 at 6:26 PM

Thoretically, you should be able to inject any morph for V3 into her.  You will get some significant differences in how the morphs actually work (scale and shape are different, which will produce results that have usually very little corellation to the original).

Best bet -- Morph mover, here in freestuff, I think.  Load a v3 with all her morphs, save her to the library, and then move them into the Laura figure.

It's worked for me, at least, lol

I injected a V3 head that I'd made for V3 into laura and it worked the same I think. Love esther

I use Morph Manager, It's free too.

You may find that you only need to go as high as 0.5 on some of the settings. V3/S3/A3/L3/Maddie all can transfer morphs. How some look may be another issue.

Who's Morphs does Luke take if any?

Tashar59 ( ) posted Sat, 17 June 2006 at 3:44 AM

As far as I know, Luke is same mesh as Laura.

AntoniaTiger ( ) posted Sat, 17 June 2006 at 3:58 AM

All the Unimesh figures except M3 can take the same morphs. Since the morphs are in the form of differences from the starting position, how well they look can depend on what the shape of the original mesh was.

well then Laura must be very similar to V3, because I made an injection pose for a V3 character I had made, and injected it into Laura and it looked very similar if not the same. Love esther

I'm a bit fuzzy here on just how to inject V3 morphs into Laura.  Do you just go to the !V3 All Body folder and click on the png for the morphs?  I tried that and nothing changed on the Laura figure dials.  I did, however, get a head from one of the character downloads to work....it's all just so confuzing at times...

Laura works in exactly the same way as V3 does (although the results of the individual morphs can vary..)

  1. Ensure that Laura is selected.
  2. Click on  "INJ ALL".
  3. Click on the "tick" at the bottom of the panel.
  4. If nothing seems to change, select something else (anything, it doesn't matter what) then re-select Laura. The morphs should now show up (Poser needs a little prod sometimes...)

IMHO, this is not the best way to go about things though. The INJ/REM stuff was created to avoid having all the morphs loaded into a figure, especially if only a few of them would actually be used. V3 (and Laura) have "empty" slots where morph values can be plugged into. The behind it idea is to only load the morphs you want to use and no others, thus saving memory.
Loading everything (via INJ/ALL) bloats the memory use significantly....

Cheers,
Diolma

I've tried injecting some V3 morphs into Laura without success - same with Maddie - because the morph channels don't exist in the figure, even when using Morph Manager. I had more success after using the ATC ("All Those Channels") Python script from the Free Stuff area. For example, I wasn't able to get the International Beauty morphs to work by simply injecting them.

I've also found, sometimes, that the morphs may load, but not display, and I've had to go into the CR2 in a text editor and change the "hidden" setting from "1" to "0."

Hi, well I had a V3 head and body pose that I made useing the commercial pose injector thingy that I had once bought from daz. I injected it into laura without using morph manager or injecting any morphs prior, and her face took on the V3 (my pose) look and channels with dial settings appeared for her head in the parameters. You need to load a pose file in both sides of MorphManager before you load the .Cr2's. Then all morphs and channels show and can be transfered. I have both L3 and Madie with the International Beauties inject channels.

I guess that's why there are so many different ways to do the same thing. Some find it easier one way than the other ways.

ptrope ( ) posted Mon, 19 June 2006 at 8:49 AM

Any helpful hints on how that works, beryld? I loaded the pose I want (!V3 Jaw Forward), but I don't see anything in the window. The help file says this can be done, but I don't see any obvious way to transfer the pose to the CR2 file.

Thanks for the tip - if I can get it to work, it will be a real boon! ;-D

I think your  tring to load an inject not a pose. Go to Pose > !Daz's Victoria 3 > V3 Fashion 01 and load that in both sides. Then load L3 in left side and V3 i right side. You should now see that you have all your goups showing doubled.

Right Click and copy all morphs of all the groups, except the body.

Body needs to be copied differently, this will give all your PBM's. Copy all channels except the (trans, scale offsets and rots. You can delet these first and then use copy all to save time.)

That's it. Pretty simple.

Would not let me edit the image.![](http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/art/emoticons/big/rolleyes.gif)So here is a new one. I had only forgot to add "Scale," to the last line.

ptrope ( ) posted Mon, 19 June 2006 at 6:40 PM

Ah-hah!! I didn't realize you could do it that way ... the help file isn't really clear about loading multiple files and/or types at one time. That's very helpful; thanks whole bunches!! :D
