Just to let you all know Daz have just released the latest version of D|S, (1.3.1.0). You can get it here:

Haven't tried it yet - hopefully it'll be all ok and bug free.

Well, I just loaded it and alas: bugfree it is not. Plugins (Morphloader; DForm, recent versions) fail to load, even after re-installing. I still have my old version installer... Phew! wiping sweat from his face

Hmm, I was afraid of that sort of thing happening. I think I'll wait a while and see what the general feedback is over ad Daz before I install it.

Too bad, this!

as stated in the announcement in the DAZ|Studio forum over at DAZ you need to redownload and install your plug-ins again, the versions created for 1.3.0.1 won't work in 1.3.1.0. This is due to unavoidable changes made to the Plug-in SDK.

been there, done that, da_ap002_DForm.exe doesn't work

 dzdform.dll
 C:Program FilesDAZStudiopluginsdzdform.dll failed to load

aargh!

RHaseltine ( ) posted Mon, 19 June 2006 at 9:07 AM

Try reredownloading, manually delete dzdform.dll, and reinstall. DFormers are certainly working here, but there could be a glitch with the installer, or some kind of conflict with a file protection utility

bagoas ( ) posted Mon, 19 June 2006 at 12:03 PM

It seems somewhat more basic. My morphloader da_ap003MorphLoader.exe loads fine now, but the deformer (da_ap002DForm.exe) I downloaded today still does not work. Do you have a daap003_DForm.exe, possibly, and is my download reference faulty?

RHaseltine ( ) posted Mon, 19 June 2006 at 3:03 PM

The numbers are product numbers - DForm was the second plugin released, MorphLoader apparently the third.

I don't know why it isn't working for you - try clearing your browser's cache, or use a different browser with which you haven't donwladed the DForm plugin, and if that doesn't help I'd sugest using the Contact Form at DAZ to ask Sales to check into it in case you're being pointed to the wrong file somehow.

Heyhey; I payed the price of being organized!
Trying to keep things tidy this time, my new download was into the same direcory as the old one, but for one reason or te other, despite me telling windows to overwrite it, the downloaded file was not refreshed. This time I saved the file under a new name, ran it, and there she goes!

Imho DAZ causes her clients a lot of confusion by spreading installer files for different versions of the AP under the same name.

Thanks for the advice.

How is the new version other then the bug?

What is new?

Check the top item at the DAZ|studio forum linked above.

As for new bugs, I have not encountered them yet, but there definately there will be some. Keep an eye on the bug tracker database.
