Not to belabor what should be an obvious point, but that's really not the way it should be. I think. Of course, I wouldn't discount the possibility that this is some extended April Fools joke, or maybe a course in what not to do with your phpBB software, as a public service.

Yes, I have to admit, I'm not some kind of internet professional or anything, so it may very well be that it's the norm for sites to be lacking in functionality and difficult to navigate, search, and so on....

Seems to me though that I remember a time when one didn't see so many complaints regarding basic things that are taken for granted at lesser sites with lesser minds coding them....

nic, thanks again for your hard work in the change-over. however, one request. I now get 404 errors for almost all the stuff that was on the www.renderosity.com server. I was hoping this was just a temporary inconvenience, but it has been going on for at least a week now IIRC. I know it's difficult to fix all those pages to redirect, but perhaps there's some trick with grep or bbedit or something that would make it easier.

@missnancy...did you change your hosts file a while ago when rosity was playing up? if so delete the bit aboput rosity and it should be fine...theres a post about it knocking around somewhere

You wrote a php codeset to do what this siteware does from scratch? And you wrote it to do these things in this fashion... on purpose? That's... rather frightening, in so very many ways.

Bar the scare - I have another question: Why are so many of us under the impression it's a PhBB mod ? I am fairly certain I read somewhere it was. oh, well. It's an interesting piece of software, to say the least, taking it to realms unheard of. So what's with all the open and proprietary tags? ~s

Well, membership to Rendo is free so I find it difficult to complain. One request though for the staff. Could we get a link from the new front page to the list of user communities please?  :-) Maybe I missed it if there is one but I had to go to the site map to find it.
