Subject: Daz layout size

Propschick ( ) posted Fri, 23 June 2006 at 11:43 AM · edited Mon, 29 July 2024 at 7:44 AM

Question- if anyone knows. Is there any way to make my overall format IN Daz to be certain dimensions such as 8 1/2 x 11?  Just want to be able to save my render in that size automatically- afraid if I resize in a photo program I may lose quality.

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows.

Rendering?  You can set that in the render setting.

8 1/2 x 11 Dimension?  Letter size?

The only dimensions D|S understands right now is pixels. Are you wanting to save in "print quality" size? If that's it, then find out what resolution you want to print at (150 dots per inch, 200 dpi, 300 dpi, whatever) and simply multiply to find out the pixel dimensions you need to plug into the Render Options dialog. When you print the rendered pic, there should be a box to enter the resolution: enter the dpi figure you started with (150, 200, 300 etc) and the print size should snap to the page size you want.
I use an old version of Paint Shop Pro for printing, your program might be different.

"Landscape" isn't a size — it's just the orientation of the print page, whether wide (landscape) or tall (portrait). It's totally independent of the picture dimensions, whatever measuring unit you use.
