There are so many decent cards out there now that are great values.Depends on what you're willing to invest. Here's a link to buy.com, great deals here.
ATI, NVIDIA, etc. Investigate the capabilities of each card & the prices in your range.
It's really worth the extra time to read all the specs.
I'm sure you'll get a variety of opinions here, for me......ATI cards have always been real solid performers when it comes to graphics, I'm not into power gaming.
Also try googling Video card reviews, that'll give you loads of great insight.
Good Luck!!

As far as I know Bryce/Vue use the CPU for rendering. Graphics card might help with moving around the wire frame while editing scenes though.

Also feel free to browse my freebies at ShareCG.
There might be something worth downloading.
Just a suggestion. I usually find the best price at Newegg. www.newegg.com
I buy all my computer stuff there. And am a very hooked ... ack Happy ... customer. :P

Hello to one and all here at the forums. I am a musician and songwriter who dabbles in 3D stills and animation. Have been using Bryce 5 for around 3 years and Vue 4 for around twelve months now.
Can anyone recommend a graphics card which will please both systems. I have a NVidea GForce 64 meg but want to grab a 128 or 256 meg card.
I was going to buy Bryce 5.5 in September but noticing in the forums that there is a version 6 due out soon I might be wiser to wait and see.
I am really not an accomplished 3D Artist and Animator as yet - but hope to be. It's nice to be here at Renderosity.
