Click on 'Galleries' at the top header, and then 'My Gallery Options'..and scroll down close to the bottom of the page, and there is a place there to paste in the CSS

Same problem here.
And just some advice for you Rendo folks. When someone brings up a problem, don't immediately go on the defensive and tell the end user that it's THEIR problem and something THEY need to fix. The very first reply from a Rendo person on this topic wasn't "I'll check and see if something is wrong"...it was a response to push the problem back on the end user. It happened with the resizing issue, it happened with the ebot issue...it's happened on just about every issue I've seen brought up since the conversion of the galleries. Considering that this is a website where people spend money (sometimes, quite a bit of it), that kind of response is absolutely horrible.
It's not the problems with the site that make people mad. It's the immediate attitude of "It's YOUR problem, not OURS" that makes it miserable.
I've reported this in the programming forum, but since it's Sunday I don't know if anyone will be able to sort this out today.
Doc, Jumpy simply misunderstood the initial question, as evidenced by her second post. I don't think any of us here have an "It ain't my problem" attitude.

Again why are we now required to learn css to change the color scheme?
I mean they can give me a nice little button to click on to change the color of my text
see
but they cant give me the same to change the page colors?
I don't get that I really don't.

I think the misunderstanding was because jumpstart hadn't seen the problem before replying and made a bad assumption that Unicornst didn't know about pasting CSS. I'd seen the error, so Unicornst's post made perfect sense. But even without knowing the problem existed, it was clear that Unicornst knew about CSS and how to paste it. People (and I've made this mistake too) shouldn't be so hasty to assume and reply just to be helpful.
"Less haste, more speed" and "look before you leep" and " a rolling stone gathers no moss", ok, maybe not the last one. ;-)
As to BDC, I'm afraid that CSS is the way forward. Even MYSpace uses CSS for display options and that site was originally created for musicians, and we know how thick they can be. We're artists and way more intelligent. ;-) (I'm just jealous since I can only play 3 chords)
Saying that though, people have created nice websites that create the CSS code for Myspace based on little colour pickers. I'm surprised one of the programmers hasn't come up with something similar for rosity.

"Less haste, more speed"
I've never understood that one, but I use it as an excuse to break the speed limit on motorways :m_wink:

But why would you want "more speed" if the injunction is to stop and think?
Shouldn't it be "Less haste, more care" or something?
Of course I don't do 90mph on the M1. My car doesn't go that slow. Bwah-ha-ha-ha!

"I don't think any of us here have an "It ain't my problem" attitude."
So, the "ain't my problem" attitude ain't your problem. ;-)
Seriously, there is a slight air of that at Rendo; always has been. Amazingly it comes more from the admin than the mods. But members are obviously just imagining it. ;-)
"...but I use it as an excuse to break the speed limit on motorways"
But officer, I can't have been going 85 miles per hour - I only left home five minutes ago.
With all this GREAT feedback in regards to the whole CSS debacle (Both Forums and Galleries) wouldn't it be in RR's best interest to put this issue on TOP of the enhancement request PRIORITY LIST?!?!
I mean..instead of instilling YOUR will on US and ASSUMING how we should DO or SEE things ...LISTEN/READ/ABSORB just what YOUR members are telling you!
It can't be all that difficult to store templates or CSS styles on your server and provide an easy method (can you say DROP DOWN MENU LIST) of changing the COLORS/LOOK of the forums or galleries!
Excuse my rather feeble attempt to visual this below...
We have contacted the programers hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I have to agree with quite a few of the posts above.
CSS is the way to go. No doubt about it. But a client-side user friendly CSS editor would bo a LONG way towards a user-friendly site. I wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a few generic Javascript-based CSS editors out there.
Another point: the HTML output of the current software is downright horrible. I'm not talking about how it renders on screen, I'm talking about the HTML code. Styles, javascript, HTML, it's mixed around everywhere, making the code hard to read.
Why not isolate the Javascript and put it in .js files? Much cleaner, and the pages will load faster once the .js files are cached. Same goes for the styles - why not use an external CSS - loaded from user preferences - instead of all those inline styles? Much cleaner code, better maintainable, and errors like Unicornst reports are much easier to avoid or fix.
A single CSS for all the different parts of the site might be a bit much to ask, but it certainly would help make the site more user-friendly.

You read this entire thread, understood there is a reported glich, that Nic or someone else is on his way in, and STILL decided to repost this? Why?
It's like watching people at a crosswalk who push the crosswalk button 50 or 60 times just KNOWING that it'll change the light faster because it knows you're in a hurry! LOL!

I think it's a great idea, but agree with another that a color picker would be required. There is no way you'll cover the wide range of what people like, or feel comfotable with. Although I DO like the RETINA burn - lolz!
Perhaps once the dust settles with the rest of the conversion this'll be something they can consider and implement.
Hmmm...My apologies for my first post in this thread..but to clear things up a bit, I wrongly assumed that Unicornst might not know about having to copy/paste the CSS into the gallery section just as one does in the forums...I 'did' however know, that Unicornst knew about copy/pasting CSS in general.....some members 'do not' know about the CSS needing to be copied/pasted in the gallery section however, and this is what I initally thought was happening...so I apolgise again for 'jumping the gun' so to speak....

Okay... I've been patient and going with the flow and doing the CSS thing to get rid of the white glare, but c'mon now. This is a little too much.
I open an image and I get this white glare with an awfull green at the top surrounding the image. Before I had this nice black and the image was trimmed in red and it looked nice. Now, OUCH!
Why this change? It was fine before. Please tell me this change in a temporary thing and I can get my black trimmed in red back.
