Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 31 9:45 am)
Answers: 1.)open the figure. Click on the hair. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Then re-save the figure to the library to get rid of the hair. 2.)line? Sounds like the texture has a problem. Either the UV's are not right. Or you didn't paint enough around the edges of them to cover up that part. When you paint a UVmap. You need to color way outside the lines to make sure it doesn't leave any gaps showing. 3.)Don't think one exists. I think The one you tried only converts .rsr to .pict. Not the other way around. 4.)When you save a figure to the library with a texture applied to it. It puts a pointer into the .cr2 telling Poser where to find the t-map. So you must include the t-map in your .zip as well as instructions on where to put it. So other people can put it in the same folder that you used. Otherwise. Poser will pop up a window saying "can't find texture". ScottA

There IS a way to make and edit .rsr pictures. I invented a little trick to do this a while back: 1.)download the converter. (click the link above). 2.)use it to convert your .rsr to a .pict file 3.)PSP or PS will open .pict files. Make any changes you like to the picture. 4.)use the converter program to convert the .pict file back to an .rsr file. I wasn't sure how I did this. So I had to go back and double check. My memory is really bad ;-). ScottAheyas; if that line in the head is flourescent lime green, it's probably the origin of one of the props. (possibly the hair.) grab the prop(s) and turn the origin display off. (hit ctrl-i.) if it is light grey, it might be the indicator lines of one of the lights overlaid on your display. move the lights around and see if it moves/goes away. :)

Okay. I finally discovered that I can add my characters to my library and therefore transform them into lovely *.cr2 and .*rsr files. Here's my questions though. 1. They were saved with hair attached. How do I get it off? Can I or do I need to redo them completely w/o the hair? 2. One of my figures has a line running thru her head when I load her. What is it? I am a newbie ya know? 3. Anyone know of a utility that converts pictures into *.rsr files? I tried one that converted *.pct files to *.rsr, but it won't work. I think it was for just Macs and I am on a PC. sigh Can Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro do it? I tried renaming one in PSP, but it didn't work correctly. blah 4. Lastly, when I save the character, does the texture embed itself in the *.cr2 file? Or do I need to make that available for download also? That's it. Boy I ask alot of questions don't I? LOL! Thanks in advance for any help!:-)
