When you export & save an object from Poser as a wavefront OBJ what are the mtl files poser creates along with the OBJ file & do I need to keep them?

Thanks

as far as I know you can safely delete them, without it affecting anything....

poser writes a reference to the  mtl file inside the object file.  some programs, bryce for instance, want you to find that file before import.  so in some cases it helps to keep them.  it's basically a listing of the materials used in the object.

It tells other apps the name of the texture map files and the color settings to use for each material.  It's a simple text file, so you can load one up in Notepad and take a look at it if you want.
