In the material room, select the background and check Autofit under the BG Picture settings. That fixed the rendering square issue for me.

As long as they save a cookie for their download page, I have no issues at all. The point is to slow the pirates down.

 

It doesn't work though. I've already seen links to SR3. Generally speaking, measures such as these are inconveniences which only buyers have to put up with, since warez users have it all taken care of for them.

Okay I've had the patch installed for a day and these are the improvements I saw on my machine. Bare in mind my machine is 3 years old now but all my drivers are up to date. I run an AMD ath. XP 1.4Hz processor with a gig and a half of 333 ddr memory. Anyway here is what I've noticed:

1. Smoother movment when using my wacom tablet. When I use the stylus the camera controls and figures don't go insane.

2. Area renders are much quicker.

3. Working with dynamic figures within the cloth room is really fast. Before the updated patch it would take forever for a simple cloth sim. Now it takes off like a rocket. My last cloth some was on Jessie and it took less than 30 secs.

4. I note a small change in speed when doing a final render using firefly.

And now that the BG mystery has been solved I am very happy with the patch thus far. I also use pov-ray to do final renders but I have yet to import a poser scene into that to see if there is any effect from SR3. I doubt there will be.
