I just hate the poser men, but this seems to be coming out okay... still am not sure of whether I like the color or black and white better.... or even a combo of the two.. What I am looking for in the scene is a decent african american male texture, and a dreadlocks hair prop for the male... I know I have seen one for the female that I could use if I could find it again.. If anyone could point me in the correct direction, I would appriciate it Darrin

Wow... she's really cute... Sorry... Don't have any helpful input... just wanted to say that.

She is the basic mimi model with no morphs applied.. and using Ansons Vicki texture.. I have seen some excelent versions of mimi done (re: poser mag below) and am hoping some of these will become available to us too :)

Akisiel would be the one to ask regarding Dredlocks... He's a Hair Designer (with Real Hair, not 3D hair). When I was experimenting with the African Amercian Nude Woman I bought from Zygote, I never was able to make a good tmap for her skin colour... but then I was never good at TMaps for poserfigures anyway. The only thing I could think to do is to use some of the non-tanlined maps and do some colour adjusting...

Well, I for one think this is absolutely terrific. Your use of textures/bumps/trans maps, etc. is also, in my book, wonderful. Since I'm a color/texture person in 'real' life, I'm always attracted to that part of the image. Then I start to look at other details-which are great (the ONLY thing I could see to change at all would be to cock his eyes slightly to the his right-I get the feeling he's focused on her, but his eyes don't quite follow that). I think you've done a wonderful job on his face with both morphs and all--- and the goatee, etc. I'm curious how you did the goatee-did you dl one of them and then post process or what? Its really good and realistic. He looks like a real person-in fact, to some degree he reminds me of someone. I think both the B/W and the color are great, but since I am a color person and you've done SUCH a good job with the colors, I go for the colored one myself. Just great!!! (the dork is gone ) Diane

hehehe... the man is actually modeled to some dgree on me, but he has quite a bit more hair :) but the facial hair was in two parts, I used a texture map that had some light facial hair in the face, and then added a goatee prop, which I then used a hair tex/bump... then set the trasparency on it... No post production at all was done on this fig yet... since it is an early render, I didnt see the need for it yet.. The base figure for the man though is DD's Body suit man... he was the one who did the great job on the face, though i touched it up a little... and I had to use long sleaved clothing to cover up the body suit.. hehehe I'll post the final when done... Both images are nice; personally, I prefer the grayscale one...

I wondered about his sweater with her very revealing, very 'airy' clothing VBG Thanks for the info about the goatee-very realistic. Diane

Darrin, I think you achieved a milestone. He's not dorky lookin'. Wonderful image, and very lifelike. Great texture on the guy's sweater. Made me start looking for the snow, and it's hotter than hell down here in Texas. Really nice work, Mike K

Wow, that is one good image. About the dreadlocks, I believe they were done by Eric Westray. Tina
