I'll chime in, too ;) They're a fantastic set of lights, complete with a backdrop and a photoreal character. They are absolutely beautiful :D

What are they? I did not get it from the promo or readm e... are they a set of dim grey lights set around to make a globe of light? The promos look nice. Can you explain? I am very interested in buying. I have been trying to choose the best light set product... I don't want a bunch of different colored lights... I want sets that will give me the realest "white" light... photo-style light as the BSL promo says.
There are a few sets of white lights, some grey lights, and, I belive, 2 sets of rose-colored lights. It's nothing super fancy, and they render excellently.

yes MorriganShadow, they look like an awesome sets of lights! I love the effect they gave dal's character DNG1 in the promo image...I love the paleness they created on the skin...thanks for taking the time to reinforce that they are a good product,...althought I already ran out and bought them the second Micheál responded...hehe...my Visa was on fire last night, I had to take it out and wave it around (the Rendo marketplace) to put the fire out and cool it down...uh-huh, yes I did!! that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

They do look like a great set of lights. However, they look like they were made with Poser 4 in mind, and if that's the case, they may not preview well in Poser 6 if there are more than 8 lights used. If there are more than 8 lights, they will still render well, but the preview in the Pose window will be darker than what the final result is.
My favourite light sets were Complex Global Lights 2, but while they previewed so nicely in Poser 5, they previewed almost black in Poser 6, and I had to render to see if that set was something I liked. Plus I didn't realize that because of the number of lights how much longer my render times were. Once I switched to Poser 6 and used less lights my renders were much faster.

Yes, I believe they were actually created when the main program used in general was P4. And they render excellently in P5. I don't have P6 yet, so I can't give you a heads up there, but there are more than 8 lights (actually, the amount of lights showing is specific to your video card, the better the card, the more lights you can show in an Open GL setup. For instance, D|S uses Open GL for its' display as well, and I can use up to 10 before I get a dark or black screen). You could always set up your scene first, and then select the lights when you're set up ;)

I bought them when they were released a few months ago. I don't think they were made FOR poser 4, i think they were made to get good results using the poser 4 render engine in P6. They do preview dark in P6, but you can still see what's going on, and they render beautifully. Not to mention the amazing V3 Character you get. I adore these lights. They also render well using Firefly, in case anyone is curious :-)

that's what I understood as well, elzoejam...I'll know soon enough how much I'll like them...
Acadia, I think the light set I'm using from the pack has wayyyy over 8 lights (I can't tell at the moment, it's rendering), and my preview scene isn't dark...but then, I have a high end graphics card, so what MS said is obviously right...
so far the test renders looks great...thanks so much everyone for your input...
