... show me an odd/bizarre/strange structure. It can be man made, it can be nature made. It can be a buidling, it can be a sculpture. Show me what you've got! I think you can see why I was intrigued by this building. I have no idea what its purpose is, but is certainly looks futuristic! *(be sure to view full size)*

Hi RR folks!

Interesting "Simon"...Kort your building looks to me a research centre, Valou... I like yours may I ask what building You find it on? Looks to me an arrow slit. ( very medievalish, I have simmilar in my collection )

My building is ...welll it is suppouse to represent a "black swan"  Western Australia's coat of arm animal. Don't ask me, I have not find a swan yet in there....but never know! My hubby said " Only one person figure it out this design or way tooooo many"

Spectacular structure there Tunde! Yes, I think my buidling was research related because it was set in a open area filled with wildflowers and very near the main Yale campus.

Cool idea Kortalouche and what an unusual building you've shown.I like all the ones posted here.

I'm not sure if I anything suitable, but I shall wrack my brain and my folders for something.

I have plenty of ruins...but I don't know...Is that unusual enough?

Okay,well,I'll go for it.

This is a pic I was never quite satisfied with, but I still kind of like it.It's the ruins of Slain's castle...in Scotland,of course...and it really is slanted like that...

By the way, this ruin inspired Bram Stoker to write Dracula....he used to summer here,(in this area),and there are many ghost stories associated with this locale and it's many steep cliffs. The spot I was standing on to take this, incidentally, had a small plaque on it,dedicated to a small boy,who had  accidentally plunged to his death from that spot.

Just thought I'd give some background.

Ooops...forgot the pic,lol....

The Falkirk wheel replaced locks in the Glasgow / Edinburgh canal. The thing is so efficient that it looses only a couple of pints of water a day (compared to thousands of gallons per passing boat before) Its so finely balanced that turning it uses practically no power (well less that boiling a kettle of water). Its also a bit of an attraction in its own right, its huge up close and certainly bizzare looking. (Great Simon by the way)
