It looks like depth cueing to me, I've used it before and it really can add realism to your renders when you use a black background. Use a white background for strong fog effects too. You can also control it to some degree by placing a primitive (like a ball or square) and moving it far into the background; the further it's moved back, the less "foggy" the figure in the foreground will appear (thanks to whoever posted that tip a loooong time ago!). :) Take care! Lplp1, it's not the lighting that created the fog effect, it's depth cueing (the fourth button from the top, like Lourdes pointed out). If you still want to post that light set, send me an IM and I can try to put it up on the few remaining bytes I have left on my account. :) Hauksdottir, depth cueing works according to how far objects are from the camera. It's very sensitive though; so much that if you render the default female figure with depth cueing on, her toes and breasts will be more visible than the rest of her (because they're closest to the camera). This is why you should add the primitive and send it far into the background (because the depth cueing then adjusts itself to balance between the closest object and the furthest). If I remember correctly, the depth cueing is based on objects distance to the rendering camera, regardless of what axis you are on. Just move the primitive away from the camera (in your top to bottom example, you would move it down into the floor) and it should work OK. Keep in mind though that if the floor is visible, it will affect the depth cueing. You really just have to tinker with it to get satisfactory results. Hope that helps! Take care. SnowS

Hello all- I decided to try and create my own light in poser and got this fog effect by mistake. I save the light in my light sets. I know someone recently posted a fog scene, but this light was a surprise to me. The model seemed transparent prior to rendering. When the render finished, this is what I had. What do you think. Excuse the nudity.
