Good day Friends!

Im loving this wonderful model from Blackhearted and Rio, but having a dickens of a time getting her eyes to render. Ive only recently come back to poser and im sure its something simple im forgetting. any ideas? she renders in all other ways, and her eye mats seem to be loaded....she just come up like she is having a seizure.

Hi,

Once you apply GND2 morphs to V3, go back to the Characters menu, and select "Blackeyes".  This will install Blackhearted's eyes into V3, eliminating the "undead" effect.  Then, you can go ahead and apply different eye textures.  I hope this helps. -Starkdog

^ what he said. she comes with replacement eye props so her default MAT pose hides her eyes so you dont have to do so manually and you dont end up with her having 4 eyes, literally.

and thanks!
you should check out the readme, the .PDF version has a lot more than just legal babble, theres a firefly tutorial in there too :)

cheers,
-gabriel

btw - thanks, starkdog.

Thanx again guys! hey Blackhearted, wicked figure! just what viki needs SHAPE! on one of yoursoftgood pages, it says she was modeled in Rhino? am i mistaken? there was another character you did years ago that was shorter and curvier... i remember she was also delicious. anyway... much love 2 ya.....as prior to Miki and GND, i was spending wayyyy too much time with naked male figures for my taste!

the last thing i modelled in rhino was the irina adventuress outfit. since this past christmas ive been doing everything in subdivision surfaces... NURBS (rhino) didnt give me the control i wanted over meshes. theyre much cleaner now :)

i could never efficiently make something like this lego guy, for example, in NURBS. the mesh would be about 20x the size -- even after spending a lot of time tweaking mesh export options -- mainly due to NURBS crappy handling of surface blends and fillets.
it was less of an issue for organic clothing, fiddling with export settings let me get away with a mesh that was about twice the density id have liked, but still competitive in terms of what else is in the marketplace. for example, a pair of pants i modeled in NURBS would be 10k polys, whereas now i could do it in 5k in sub-d. ive seen pants in the marketplace that were over 100k polys, so it was still competitive.
now, i will still make 10k poly pants.. but this time i can pack in far more details in the actual mesh. so the transition hasnt really affected the polycount of my clothing, however it has allowed me to pack in a lot more detail in a mesh of the same size :)

cheers,
-gabriel
