Sight of browning leaves

Past their prime, soon to be shed;

Autumn approaches.

Approaches now  that
Which was inevitable
Summer turns to 'Fall'...

Fall mercury fall

Barefoot in Itchycoo Park;

Hallucinating.

Hallucinating...
Is this love or summer bliss?
Awaiting autumn...

John, your haiku's are outstanding!

Autumn lies in wait;
Green leaves stir, armed and ready,
Tinged with auburn fear.

Fear not the cold sun
Like a woman she wavers
With moments of warmth.

Warmth from gleaming smiles

Smouldering eyes inviting;

Sunny day women.

Looks like summer has since burnt to a crisp, leaving the Autumn Haiku Challenge to take its place, which can be found here😄

Hi everyone again.

Outstanding Haiku, friends!

I'm back after weeks of travel, and buried under work again. :(

But as a confirmed haiku junkie, I will not court cold turkey. I'm off to the Autumn Haiku for my fix.
