Subject: Is there a node that will desaturate an image map?

I know I can turn down the strength of the texture but then you also lose the strength of the monochromatic portion of the image.  Is there a desaturate node or any way to make the image map black and white from within the materials room?  ( i don't want to hassle with photoshop to make a second image map because then you have twice as much memory being used during rendering.)

Thanks!!!

The HSV node lets you desaturate.
