Subject: Eyes Don't Point At the Camera

I just can't make the character's eyes point at the Main Camera, which is animated, while I have Main Camera selected; they turn down instead. And it's the same if I select and "point to" the Posing Camera. Moreover, some of the time Posing Camera isn't even shown in the panel as a Point To choice. I have succeeded in the past, but it isn't working now. Any idea what's wrong?

I think someone once said that pointing the eyes at cameras was buggy. And tempermental. Try loading the ball prop. Put it right behind the camera. Parent it to the camera. Then point the eyes at the ball instead. ScottA

Along with Scott's advice, I'd also suggest that you try setting the scale on the camera to %100. For whatever reason, sometimes the scaling on the camera will effect where the eyes point in a situation like this one. This doesn't always work but in many instances it corrects the problem. BTW when you set the scale to %100, you'll have to reposition the camera for the working view.

Thanks; buggy indeed. Scaling the camera to 100% almost does it in this case. Eyes are just a few degrees off laterally. The ball puts them farther out. Much appreciated.
