THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Vote - Yes...VOTE in the Challenge !!!!!!!!!

AgentSmith ( ) posted Tue, 19 September 2006 at 7:40 AM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 8:29 AM

It's more than time to put this beautiful old girl down, so join me in paying our final respects to the "Lights Camera Action" Challenge!

Thumbnails

Take the above link and view all four entries. (We should arrange for a (real) prize or something for all four entrants)

Place your vote back in this forum thread.

You will place 3 votes, no more, no less, no voting for yourself.

The 3 votes will be your top 3 favorites. You will be giving 3 points to your #1 favorite, 2 points to your 2nd, and 1 point for your #3 fave. Try to list it something like this for easier tallying of the votes;

member 1's name - 3 points
member 2's name - 2 points
member 3's name - 1 point

Feel free to give the one person you won't be voting for, an Honorable Mention. cough

We will vote for a "while", lol...and then I'll announce the 3 top winners.

If there are any questions/problems, please post them in here and I'll answer/fix.

Now go vote, you scurvy dogs!

3  - Dan Whiteside - Excellent coherent scene.
2 - Nukeboy  - Good posing and overall "story" within the image.
1 - Maleny - Nice usage of a 2d photo plain. (If I'm right. :P)

Is it just me or is Dan's main image, not there after you click the thumb? Doesn't matter checked it out on the thread.

Well I said I'd never comment on these challenges again after the Fiasco with Electrosomething et all a year or so back but F* them and the giant ducks they rode in on - I have as much right to comment as to why I vote the way I do as anyone else - and if it runs contrary to someone elses sensibilities - sorry. - no more mr nice mouse.

Although the Aman didn't refer to a specific movie it reminded me of one of my favorite PC games of the mid ninties: "Lands of Lore II guardians of destiny". Perhaps it wasn't technically the best but
it did have feeling.

Nukeboy's Indiana  Jones - hey you know I'm gonna vote for that.

And yes technical knowhow does have its place - I had to draw myself away from voting for the scene where Dave gets himself locked out by Hal - Hey as much as I can relate (Hal-3 locked me out for what seemed like months after i made a few wrong administrative choices), I had to fall back on Dan's render. In fact it was quite good technologically as always.

...

Well it occurs to me that I haven't put up anything new since I got back - complacency? no -. too busy ? no I have five computers- albiet older ones I could have done something with the Bryce computer i guess .- I think  I've just gotten lazy or something ... so I'm not the right person to say I was disapointed in the lack of entries in this month's challenge but I'll say it anyway - but I understand; believe me I do ...

Nukeboy 3 points - simply because it was so obvious what movie it was and I loved the movie.

Anruth 2 points - because it was a really nice image and made me think of many "skull mountains" in movies.

I never did like 2001 - don't kill me.  But because it evoked the movie so well,

dan whiteside 1 point.

And an honorable mention for MalenySteve because that's a lovely image of the ship from the movie.

It's a shame there weren't more entries. I didn't enter because I just couldn't decide on my favourite film - I've got too many lol. Looking forward to seeing what the next competition theme will be:)
