Where can you get the helmet?

He probably wants to know how to give it a mirror like finish.

give it something to reflect.
looking at the picture, the problem is a black featureless background.. so thats what the helm is reflecting...

I tried to find the car materials in the freebie section,  and they do good. Will help.

AntoniaTiger ( ) posted Thu, 21 September 2006 at 12:35 PM

Feed a texture into the color input of a Sphere Map node, and the output from that into the Reflection input of the material. One of the IBL textures in P6 would work, or one of the reflection-map textures which come with Poser. Also, instead of (0,0,0) black, use a very dark grey.

scott8539 ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2006 at 11:20 PM

is there a way to get the same effect without raytracing?

RodB ( ) posted Sat, 23 September 2006 at 1:38 AM

2 seconds in Photoshop , I think much time is wasted trying to get a perfect render out of Poser or any 3D app for that matter , I believe Post Work is the key to the final image .
