Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 14 4:48 pm)
You can buy clothing with the morphs already built in. That is the easiest way. Many of DAZ's clothing packs come with a lot of morphs.
You can adjust the clothing yourself, using magnets. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's a very useful skill to have.
You can buy a utility such as The Tailor or Wardrobe Wizard, which will fit the clothing to morphed figures. They are pretty easy to use, though the results are not always ideal.
If you're using Poser 5 or 6, you can use dynamic clothing, which can be easily fit to any figure.
That character looks like Luciano Pavarotti.
"It is good to see ourselves as
others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to
say." - Ghandi
Is Wolfgang a morph for M3? If so, WardrobeWizard will do the trick. It's a costly solution, mind you, but once bought it will soon become indispensable. Well worth the price!

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
Of course the easiest solution is to use Dynamic clothing 'cos that will stretch to whatever size your character is!
Of course you'd need the type of clothing you want, Mapps, Hmann, SVDL amongst others have some free dynamic clothes as wel as some in the MP!
Injustice will be avenged.

hi im having a similar problem.
Im using the stanard V3 SAE model from daz. i load on utilize V3 which i see the fixer there is wearing the helmet i think. i conform the clothing , looks good but when i animate the clothing bleeds through.
Whats the best solution. Try convert it to dynamic clothing?
Use magnets?
Use body morphs and key them to make the clothing look right?
Thanks
STu
Posing her naked is the BEST solution; after that, I think dynamic clother with collsion detector, or something like that. Another soliution is to hybridize your figure together with the clothing, (something along the lines of the standard Poser CAsual figures, where only the visible skin parts are part of the mesh, and the Clothes and figure's head, neck, arms & legs are all one Mesh object.
Just an idea.

thats a good idea , but unfortunately wont work for me, as a temp soultion youv given me, just incase i run out of time, i will download full body clothing from daz to do just that ..Those damn breasts just cant stay where they belong!
By the way as someone said on these forums ..yes time spent with cats is never ever ever wasted :)
Thanks guys for your speedy reply, amazing.
Oh dphoadly... She is wearing a open style army top and hot shorts, so cant get rig of any of her body cause its partually visable unfortunately. When you say "Another soliution is to hybridize your figure together with the clothing" do you mean replacing the body part with the clothing? using the replace option? not familiar with the term hybridize with regard to poser..only Sci Fi! :)

Do a forum search for 'Hybridize', and see what tutorials there are on the actual process. Basically what you want to do is to export both the clothes and the visible parts of the figure as a single object. Then to take your figh's Cr2, and edit a COPY of it to your new clothed figure. When you load this new figure into your pose window, the clothes should work in tandem with the figures visible body parts. For a once off, this might not be worth the effort, but if this is afigure you're going to be using recurringly, then this is an easy solution to teh poke through problem. As an example, click on the link above, and see how I rendered my remapped version of the P4 Casual woman. Also, vidit my gallery and see also my 2nd Generation Israeli figure. This one I hybridized from the P4 Casual woman's figure and the P3 Nude woman's chst & collars to give her visible tits beneath a semi-transparent shirt. In extreme postures, there is a bit of poke through on the back of te shoulder, but this is easily correctable in postwork. All in all, these figures are a lot less work than to be constantly fiddling with conform clothed or dynamically clothed figures. David P. HoadleySTOP PALESTINIAN CHILD ABUSE!!!! Hey David,
I did a search for (past 2 years) on Hybridize - but did not get much specific information.
This is exactly what I have been wanting to do for a long time. Dress a character, get rid of everything that is hidden - and create a new character sort of like the old P4 dressed people.
My main use is in animation, and not only would this be great for dealing with poke-thru, but it also would save a TON of time in the animation timeline sorting through body parts...
I did try - I exported all the visible elements to a .obj file - then I loaded the .cr2 I saved in the library and changed all the figureresfile references to my new object file. When I re-load though, I get alot of missing / invisible parts. I am missing something basic here I think.
Object export settings?
Should I use the base M3 cr2 to edit instead/?
Help would be appreciated.

Here's an example of how WW adapts clothing to heavy figures: This is RenaPD's Mountainman adapted to Rikishi. I think he is about as heavy as Wolfgang.I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

hello,
some days ago I bought Ardurio's Wolfgang for M3. Really great - the Face.
Really fat - the body.
As a Poser-Newbie, I don't realized, what does it means to clothe the man.
How to clothe the fat ones?
I gave Wolfgang DAZ's real jeans, but the result is horrible!
So I want to ask: How do you clothe your figures with fat legs and enormous belly?
Is the only way to turn the mophs of the clothing?
If you look at my pics, you will understand, that it is a work of 150years to fit the jeans.
Is there a quicker way?
Thanks
Holger
