I wonder...how best to find out if everyone would be okay if I collected an album of Travis travels 3d pics and make an album tribute to him on my own web site...with name credits of course!! I think this would be a wonderful project!

I guess I could collect the ones I would like to use, then contact each person for written permission... (this idea/plan just occured to me, as his virtual life here has always made me SO happy)....

Lyne

PS Oooh dear, the new search engine will not help me...could you all send me links to your imags or ones you may have seen with him in them? Now I wish I had saved them all, and I don't know how to FIND them....I know there are a LOT here....

Beautiful cat!, sorry to hear about your loss. I had a great cat who ran out of his 9 lives after 17 human years.  He's at www.staigerland.com - I used to plyfully wrestle him and he'd bite me hard, clinging on to my arm.... I still have a scarr on my right upper arm.

Your cat's face reminds me a lot of my first cat.

Right now I'm looking at that young female finicky and very smart long hair tabby, she's sleepy, and looking at me like "what the HELL are you talkin about?!"

I am so sorry to hear about him. My Clive, (flufficus maximus) was 18 and just like your Travis except his paws were dark. I think I have one, image that is (Neighbours).

The memorial to Clancy is very well done.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

That is so difficult, when a loving and very loved companion moves on to kitty heaven and we are left behind.  I'm so sorry for your loss :(
I wish I had some pics to contribute for his memorial. Looks like he was a wonderful pal.

That's such a shame, although 17 years is a good long life for a cat ... especially a much loved cat.

You're right, though ... he's just waiting over the Rainbow Bridge.

Could be worse, could be raining.

Ohhh, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I know how you feel though.  We had to put our boy Buster down due to medical problems last March.  He's got a memorial here on Renderosity in my gallery under "Buster Blue", and I use him as my avatar now.  I was just thinking of using a cat in a series of pictures myself here based off of Buster too.  Anyone have any tricks for creating cat fur textures or how to customize a poser 4 cat model?

We lost our cat recently too, by unhappy accident. Sorry for your loss.

The good news is that we will be opening our home to a new 'owner' soon. We hope you find a new owner too.

Adding to the expressions of sympathy; Our dearly loved Miss Kitty passed away this past spring after 19 wonderful and loving years.  I had her creamated and took her ashes to scatter in different parts of the country (Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, Chicago, IL and here in Houston, TX) at spots where she  spent many happy moments playing.  I still miss her dearly.  I swear I see her now andf then out of the corner of my eye, or hear he meowing for attention somewhere.

I am deeply sorry for your loss.

sorry for your loss

as a registered cat lover and a member of 3 cat's staff I can truly understand the hold such little devils can have on you.  I recently brought home a third cat, (a kitten who's mother was struck by a car along the road, and the kitten would not leave it..she stood in the middle of a 4 lane highway screaming at the top of her lungs ..so, I stopped and brought her home).

sympathy to you

keep in mind all the happy times you had together...

THank you all for your words, and your stories...and last year we did add a sweetie to our home, so now I am not alone, Nicki and I comfort one another... and by the way, Travis came to us from the middle of a 4 lane street also!!! It's the ones we save or get from a shelter (nicki) that seem to really apprecate us so...and take right over as owners! :)

My condolences for your loss Lyne, 17 years....guess he used up all nine.

Looks a lot like my daughters kitty. She kept asking for a cat...I kept saying no...

then one day ( 2 years ago ) one just showed up on our door step....

Guess a higher authority then me, thought she should have one.

Can't complain Tiger is a great cat.

It's the kitties that come to you that are meant to be for sure...  The numbness wore off and my grief is intense and I am just working my way through it...

Sorry to hear of your loss.  He reminds me of my BJ, who took over my home about six years ago.
