heeh heeh Thanks, vilian. ^^ Awhile back, I did a male "police-lineup" of all the male figures, front, side, and back. There are pluses and minuses to each figure. So I had this idea to take the best of all the male figures and combine them to make a new kickass male figure! I leaned heavy on H3 and M3 since I think they are the strongest for what I do. I stopped working on H3M3 awhile. Maybe I will have to work on him again, I have better tools to work with now. ^^ bB
Oh please start working on him again ! And of course please share some more pics ^.^

Mathman, are telling us to give it up, as in to quite doing this?
Or, are you asking how we did this.
I blended the neck of L3 and A3 Xin Xin with magnets, then exported the A3 neck and up with the L3 neck down. Hacked the L3 .Cr2 to point to the new .object. The Bel/Hiro I did 2 ways if I remember right. One I exported all the figure groups of Hiro and loaded them back in to BelBel as morph targets. The other I created a new neck for the BelBel/Hiro neck by splicing the two in Wings3d.
There is also Shapeshifter at PhilC's site. It is a FREE Python script that changes head/bodies of all unimesh figures or any figures that use the same mesh. There is a bit of neck distortion but I found that using a magnet with a large Mag zone on the head can fix it quite well.
My first was AnimeDollM3. (I followed the tutorial). I have done many more hybrids (M3Freak, SPA3, V3M3, V3MM3, M3H3D3Freak, SPV3, A3V3, M3Luke, M3Matt, M3Apollo, M3Baby3, GremlinOni, M3V3, etc) but most of them were lost when my machine died. I don't have pictures of them either. The H3/M3 image I was able to recover from the Poser Pros' forum. The wildest hybrid I attempted was making Mill Dog a Bi-ped that could wear M3 clothes. After awhile it became obvious that it wouldn't work, there aren't enough polygons to work with, not to mention, I would have change MilDog's groups so he would loose all his morphs. And he posed like crap too. Oh well. It was fun experiment.
Some of the tools I use are:
Blacksmith3D -
This is my main tool now. H3M3 was made with Blacksmith. All my custom head morphs are done in Blacksmith now too. Easy way to fix texture seams too.
Wardrobe Wizard -
Yep. I use good old WW's "smooth" to fix head and neck seams. Works like a charm.
Poser Tool Box -
Good for morph target obj export/import and face putty-ing a basic face shape with super smooth magnets.
UMT (Universal Morph Transfer) -
I used UMT to convert and make INJs of custom heads between group 1 and group 2 Daz Mil3 figures. Older Frankenstiens like taking a custom M3 head and reverse aging to Mill Baby were done this way.
Magnets, Obj exports, Morph Targets
Using Poser tools to take one head and pop it on another. Used for Gremlin/Oni. Now Oni can wear Wardrobe Wizard converted clothes for Gremlin. ^^
ShapeShifter -
Kam's easy python script to swap Mil3 head.
Other hybrids on my list of To Do's are:
Koji-M3, Miki-M3. A3H3-MilBaby.
Koji has a great face and expresisons so I want try to popping him onto M3's body. But I may not be able to get a Bishie look of him, so I was wondering if a masculinized Miki would work. And of course making a cute Chibi figure with Mil Baby would be cool. ^^

For mine, I just loaded SP3 and V3 and applied the same pose to both. Then hide the SP3 head and V3 body. Tweak the positioning a little to get both to match up as best as possible, and that's it. Fairly quick and easy if you don't have the time (or skills) to actually merge the meshes, create new necks, etc.

The AnimeDoll/M3 tutorial is at Ebonshire.

I haven't done the Koji M3 figure yet. True, matching textures will take some work ( it would be cool to remap Koji to match M3.)
I would first try to match textures that look smiliar to start with. Koji 1 has a brillant texture, so I would try to find a M3 texture to match. Perhaps ApoGraphix's Naoko body texture for M3? Or maybe UTC the International Beauties 4 to M3?
Tweak two base texture maps in photoshop for hue, saturation, and value.
Take two sample areas of the each texture map and make seamless tileable texture to used in Blacksmith3D as a texture brush.
Import new hybrid obj with texture maps applied to Blacksmith3D. Import 2 texture brushes. Paint head and neck seam to blend the two textures together.
Wala!

This is a character I'm still working on for a new image. Couldn't find or make an M3 head morph that I liked, so I decided to try sticking V3's head on there instead. Worked out pretty well.

Thanks Unicornst!
I increased the size of the head a bit and moved it around until the edges matched up as close as possible with the edges of M3's neck. There was still a tiny gap under the jaw that I couldn't match up, so I took care it with postwork... the 'Push' and 'Soften' brushes in PSP8.

She might be refering to something yamato did a while back with the Infamous Tenten Hybrid of V2/V3 where it talks about how to do hybrids yourself.
There IS a market for this! IF ANYONE can figure out a utility to take HEAD-A and put it on BODY-B and morphing a neck to fit, They'd make a fortune.
As far as Hybrids go--Toshiyo has one in the marketplace called Satoko: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=40793 which goes on a VARIETY of other bodies! IE:**Victoria2, Victoria3, Stephanie3, Aiko3, GIRL, Preteen, PreSchool figures!
Wow!** Sorry--got the bold button stuck! LOL Anyway--On topic, also Eszter or something like that which puts another new head on V3's body.
You,too, can make money by putting your own head (ONE YOU MADE--goofball, not the one on your shoulders) on someone else's figure!
Now all I have to do is figure out how! ^__^ v,,

Oooooooo.... more hybrids. teehee fun! ^^
Good news! I found a backup copy of H3/M3! Yes!
Putting MillDog head on M3? I've done that actually. lol. ... but I did it mostly for the ears. ;)
MillDog, head-only, figure can morphed to look like a helmet ontop of M3's head, hide the head and only show the ears, or replace M3's head with the MillDog head.
It's been on my To-Do list to add more morphs to Mill Dog's ears. It's bizarre they aren't boned for movement, imho.

I thought that maybe a thread to show off other combined figures by other artists might be of interest here. Hack em and Stack em and Show them off, kind of thingy.
