Vue 6 has new release date. The complete Vue 6 line of products is scheduled for release in **Q4 2006**.

This single line is all was e-on called customer care :(

This was not just a single line... look at the note below it : Note: Our top priority is to deliver a rock-solid Vue 6, which is why we have decided to postpone release slightly. We plan to pre-release Vue 6 Infinite and xStream during the month of October, 2006. It is actually customer care that make them take the decision to hold off on the release date.

Excellent decision.

You cant piss and moan that it needs to be released...and then piss and moan when it's buggy because people wanted to see it before it was ready.

Less buggy Vue 6 and waiting >>>>>>>>>>> getting a crashing, unstable Vue 6

Nobody is criticizing the policy. It is the (mis) communication or lack of communication af any kind that isn't up to the standards of other software companies. E-On themselves are responsible for promoting and hyping release dates, and should not be surprised when people are discouraged when they silently slide on their self proclaimed release estimations. It's the lack of official statements regarding status following pre-release promises that is more frustrating than the delay IMO. Any delay in release due to quality issues is acceptable and understandable; however not communicating with their customers after building up a communities expectations is not. PR is important, and users have better things to do than repeatedly hit their refresh buttons looking for the purchasing/pricing announcements promised prior to, through, and after their widely announced pre-release date.

Nor is placing a pricelist online and then a couple of months later upping the prices dramatically!

They have no obligation to tell you anything on their release date more than Q4.  It can piss you off that you don't know, but you don't necessarily have the 'right' to know just because you want to know.

But here's the prerelease of Vue 6 anyways.
