Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
ya can do some great toons using poser renders as reference (check gallery here), but I dunno how they would do that using poser renders as reference. my assumption, based on 10 years experience with cartoon artists, is that it would be a thousand times quicker for somebody to skip poser and just draw it with a tablet in photoshop, but if ya didn't know how to draw cartoons, then poser might help somehow.
I'm guessing that if this was made with a EF product it was probably Anime Studio.

to do something like this in poser would be near impossible as the models are usually more anotomically correct in poser. More of what you would see in realism style comic books. You can check the galleries here under poser comics to find some great (and greatly talented) examples.

It's a combo of Poser and Illustrator. There's a customer story on the e frontier web site talking about that very image: http://www.e-frontier.com/article/articleview/1039/1/389/From the case study:
It should be noted, while Poser is a great tool, it should not be replaced for learning the human anatomy, taking art classes and practicing! Remember, the best artists are not “microwaved,” they are “slow cooked.”
Before I go on, please note that I’ve studied art and been developing my style for 15 years now, I highly suggest becoming confident with a #2 pencil and a ream of paper before taking shortcuts using Poser.
Words to the wise.
Interesting.... Thigpen must be the only artist actually using Poser for its
ORIGINAL purpose!

hi all,I wonder if and how one can make such an illustration ( see link ) using Poser
http://www.e-frontier.com/imagecatalogue/customimageview/3662/
is it just a sketch rendering? is there a set of characters for that?
I thought those kind of illustrations were from 2d illustration softwares like Corel draw or illustrator using a tablet probably.or maybe from photoshop using some filters, however that picture is on efrontier website but is it really 100% poser made? what else was used to get that image?
TIA, if Poser can do that , I will probably buy it.
