Subject: Poser 7 pre-order - time to panic?

As my message did not get through the first time ...

I'm not sure where to post this, but I can think of no better place than here to receive a timely comment ...

I succumbed to the marketing and ordered the Poser 7 upgrade Wednesday and have never received any email confirmation as the order page indicated I should. Also, the system seemed a little glitchy at the time, i.e., after I entered my user name and password, I was taken to the 'forgot password' page where I entered my email address thinking I might have entered the wrong password. I never got that email with the password either. And as I noticed after the fact that I was indeed logged in, I went ahead and placed the order, but now I'm wondering if something went terrribly wrong ... ?

I've emailed e-frontier twice now, once yesterday and Wednesday night, and have still received no response.

Has anyone else had this experience? Anyone think I should worry, or am I simply too impatient?

And if the former, does anyone know how to more effectively contact e-frontier to discuss and hopefully resolve this?

Thanks.

Content Paradise didn’t show your preorders by default. But you can simple change that.
In CP click on View My Stuff and then click search all past orders…
There you can find the Preorder.

don't panic. call 'em up if necessary. CP has two employees as members here, but unfortunately I don't recall their nicks.

I don't know if it matters, but I did not order it trhough CP, but through the e-frontier site. In any case, I did not see anything to click labeled 'search all past orders ...' and the orders listed did not include the Poser 7 pre-order ...

Thanks for the advice though.

Also, I checked with my credit card company and the account info does not indicate any charge for this order.

No charge yet would seem to indicate the order did not go through, but then what does it mean that I have an order number?

Does this mean I get it for free? (wish, wish)

Or not at all (far more likely I would guess).

Anyway, I have sent them another e-mail. This makes 3. If I do not hear from them soon, I suppose I'll be on the phone.

Thanks again.

Is this what they mean about buyers regret?

Wait I thought they did not charge your credit card until the item became available. At least I think that's what they did for me when I preordered Poser 6. Although I live in Canada, so maybe the credit card company handles things differently when preordering items. David :)

I ordered up and was notified immediately. Used PayPal and was charged to my VISA that day.

This would be a normal transaction in my opinion for PayPal

I believe on VISA you would not be charged until shipped.

I ordered it yesterday via paypal and received a confirmation email from efrontier and paypal within five minutes. Send them another email and make sure you fill in your P6 serial number and email address. I'm sure you've done that already but I can't think of any reason why they haven't replied. I sent  an email query to the presales department  and had a reply very quickly.

Still no reply. And now their site says my password is invalid. What gives?

Am about to call the 888 number. Maybe can straighten this out.

Okay. Spoke to Tom and think we have things straightened out. Looks like the first order did not go through. I had a valid pre-order number but it did not show up in their database. Hopefully, I won't get billed twice or get 2 orders now ...

Thanks everyone for listening to me whine.

From my email confirmation:

**If I preordered, when will I be charged?
**Credit/Debit Card: If you paid by credit/debit card our store system performed a preauthorization on your credit card when you placed your order. While this doesn't post a charge to your account, it does reserve the funds from your available balance right away. Your credit card company considers this to be a "pending authorization". The actual charge will officially post to your account after your order ships for physical versions, and when your download information is sent for download versions.

Paypal: If you paid by Paypal, the funds were immediately transferred to e frontier when you sent payment from your Paypal account.
