Subject: What did we all do for Halloween?

AgentSmith ( ) posted Mon, 06 November 2006 at 3:46 PM · edited Thu, 13 February 2025 at 2:23 PM

Did anyone do any partying for Halloween?

Trick or treating?

At least eat far too much candy?

I'll probably regret posting this, lol......

This was me, in my very last minute Pirate costume (with 3 weeks worth of face stubble)

As you can see, I was eating Halloween candy....uh, in liquid form, there located in my hand.

I ate a lot of "candy" that night...in fact I think that there was my 6th or 7th bottle of the sweet stuff right there...

[ This is what I wrote to my friends back home on Halloween ;^) ]

Well here it is Halloween again and this year I actually get to enjoy it. Last year I was on the road bringing my personal belongings up here to the great state of Indiana (what folks back home call North Texas).

Anyhow, I'm relaxing here eatin some poor kid's candy. I really must speak to the neighbors about their choices in what to feed their house apes. But even if it's cheap trash I can never get enough of watching the children: They come to the door in their cute little fire-retardant costumes and in unison declare, "Trick or Treat!" Who am I to fly in the face of tradition, so in a jolly voice I call out, "Sic 'em Chuck!" and my pet chupacabra gets after 'em, chasing every single one down until he can retrieve their candy bags. I chuckle all year long just thinking about their terrified screams. Heck, it's even double fun if the parents are accompanying them - waiting out there by the curb and all. They holler ever better! And it's Chuck's favorite holiday, of course. (His real name is Carlos, but he wants folks to think he's from Texas so I give him a little elbow room on that.) His little antics work real good up here. Guess they don't see many 'round these parts. He likes the cuisine, too: 'coons galore and pigs too, instead of the strays around the oil refineries. He used to complain about how they tasted funny. Gave him gas in the worst way, too.

Well, I hear some cute little urchins headin up to the front door. Good. This bag's almost empty.

Happy Halloween, Yall! And don't worry, I'll pet Chuck for you!

(j/k folks)

Me, I got sick with a nasty sinus infection, that has turned into Thrush, with fever, chills and other fun stuff and a uvula the size of a small grapefruit.  Hack choke gasp!    Posted my Creepy submission cause I couldn't wait anymore (it's going on the right spot soon enough AS... yarrrrhhh!)  So my first Halloween in MN kinda sucked the... well it sucked.

I dunno which day exactly halloween is, as we dont celebrate it overhere in the netherlands. well i guess some people do but its not really a big national thing or such. But... I did go to a party yesterday, does that count?
I was put on the guestlist by a friend together with my bro and sis and 2 girl friends. Little did i know this turned out to be a bday party of a transvestite and the party goesr were all men and almost all the 'women' were men dressed as women! we were like wtf??
But once the DJ started spinning the party mood couldnt be stopped and within 5 minutes we didnt care. There's actually some positive side on it çuz at least them gay guys weren't gunna try to steal the girls away from me 😉 Oh, and some guy who's famous from dutch television was there too and he was checkin me out LOL yea it was a weird party allright. But way fun!
One of the girls said I danced funny but that's really çuz i cant really dance at all :tongue1: but next to the drag queens I bet I looked for once pretty normal trying to dance! Except.. maaaybe not when my bro and I did a little bitch-slap dance or when I made a few 70's disco poses/moves or when I tried to imitate one of the girls doin some sexy fluent feminine dancemove kinda thing (and subsequently failing horribly to match her performance).
Still, it was the most fun I've had at a party since last december! And the first time I've danced with only 2 beers (usually i dont dance till im totally wasted).

P.S: Smitty, better keep that face smooth as a baby's bottom, looks way better then a 3 week stubble!

P.P.S: What was in the bottles AS? I dont seem to recognize the label...

Halloween is my wedding anniversary. As we don't celebrate halloween in OZ, it was only after the fact it was pointed out to me. I went out for dinner with my wife, and we had a quiet evening at home. 3 children, 3 guinea pigs, yeah, quiet evening, NOT.

tjohn ( ) posted Tue, 07 November 2006 at 4:03 AM

Even though Trick or Treaters don't come around anymore (paranoid parents - who could blame them), I still buy some candy in case one comes by and I'd hate to disappoint them. Then I eat the candy myself.

Kind of pathetic, really....   :^)

I sat at home, drank half a bottle of bourbon bidding goodbye to my best friend who passed away that week, drank more bourbon and shed a few tears. Drank the rest of the bottle of bourbon and passed out on the couch till the morning.

PS: the image is of my best friend that passed away. I had her for 14 years, she was 12 when that picture was taken.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

Sorry to hear about your companion CrazyDawg....=(

For All Hallow's Eve, I passed out bushels of sugary sweets, to unsuspecting children, both my hubby and I were dressed up, I was Mortisha, he was some type of monster....on this one door bell ring a bunch of kids came up to get treats, and behind them was a Dad and his 6year old daugther (dressed as a lion cub) and when Todd leaned out the door and made a monster noise she ran shreeking at the top of her lungs back to Daddy,.....Todd was so upset he couldn't hand out candy for the rest of the night, so it fell to me, guess I didn't instill as much terror as he did...;)

Gee a pirate hmm only the most popular costume this year Smith.  I dressed up like the Grim and scared the crap out of kids in our very scary house. I always have to dress up on Halloween otherwise I might be recognized and then we spend the next day with loved ones in the cemetery

We carved several pumpkins and sat them out in the boneyard. The porch was covered in spiderwebs as well as was the boneman. spooky lights and music was playing and I gorged on too much candy and felt like barf.

Passing out Bourbon to the kids sounds like more fun though, cause it was freaking cold here! No no CrazyDawg I am sorry for your loss maybe you should have spent the day after like I did, although drinking is one of my favorite forgetful sports but I always over train…

Connie, actually he's showing the before picture of what happened to my Uvula...

Crazydawg:  I'm so sorry to hear what happened to your beloved girl.

Zhann, sounds like your husband did what almost happened to me when I was a kid.  Guy scared the crap outta me when I was trick or treating by myself (so you can guess I'm starting to age gracefully, or less clumsily than some) and this house I went up to, had a guy on a dark porch dressed like Dracula and in a terrifyingly slow manner gave me some candy.  I was rooted to the spot in fear, and without saying a word he shoed me on to the next house.  Never went back to that house again.  Nobody else ever did such a thing back then.  Now I think, oh so cool, but then I'm happy I didn't wet myself. ;c)

-Apparently, yes. (just a lucky shot, I guess)

AgentSmith how many decades have you been growing that hair farm?

-Took about 3-4 years to get to that length. But, I've had long hair of some sort for many, many years now. Everytime I threaten to cut it, the girlfriend forbids it.

Yeah, the pirate costume was out of neccessity for something very simple/quick. I was literally in the middle of some freelance work, and couldn't take any time to do my normal ritual of creating a costume. (the year before I was a six foot tall piece of pooh)

Cmon you can guess what twisting up a couple spankers means.  It means i don't drink, but still like to party once in a while.   I am so jealous of people with fast growing hair.  My own has been growing for almost a decade and is only about one fifth the length of yours.
