I could think of quite a few humorous uses for an anal probe prop without getting graphic or pornographic.  Although I suppose alien encounter survivors would not laugh to loudly.  I always wanted to be in a band called "The Shitheads from Space Liberation Army and Rhythm and Blues Revue".  On the CD cover we would have an alien trying to disguise the anal probe as a microphone.

2. People have a problem with it because of the word "anal." Far as I know, an anus is just a body part. It's the viewer that is sexualizing it. You can call a tongue depresser an Oral Probe - would that make it bad? I mean, the word oral is always sexual, isn't it, because of oral sex? Gives a new meaning to oral exams. A Q-Tip is an aural probe. Your finger is a nasal probe. It's just a body part. Your hand is a probe when you check for breast cancer - should we forbid anything with the word "breast" because people sexualize it? There goes that "original recipe chicken breast" I was going to try to model.

If anything, I need to update it with my new AOL address. No where do I claim it as mine, and if the original mesh maker can contact me, I would follow his or her wishes to the letter. Karen, as far as I can remember the old site did allow redistribution as long as the original site (3DCafe) was mentioned, which I did in the Read Me. PM me if you find out anything.

1. Plain background on the thumbnail. Nothing sexually descriptive anywhere. In the Read Me I said "I hope you have fun with this kit, and make some really disturbing images with it." That's as close as I get. What one person considers "disturbing" another person will consider boring and mundane. No where does it say it can only be used in a sexual manner.

2. PUSH THAT DOWNLOAD BUTTON OR I'M GOING TO SHOOT THIS PUPPY! Yeah, right. Don't like it, don't download it. It used to be that showing one's ankles was considered sexual - what if someone today objected to all of the V3 dresses that showed ankles? Would they be pulled? Nope. The person that doesn't like short dresses just shouldn't download them - they shouldn't prevent people that like short dresses from downloading them.

3. I have a condom package available on my site - do you see it anywhere here? Nope. Would I even try to offer it in Rendo's freestuff? Hell, no. There are other sites for things that are specifically sexual. An anal probe is not specifically sexual. So... should I try to model a speculum? It's a medical tool, but some people sexualize it. How about a foot - can I model a foot, even tho there are people with foot fetishes?

I'm not upset at all about this - if anything, it gives me even more insight to the mindset of some people here at Rendo. I've gotten a chuckle or two out of this whole thing. One of the probes looks a lot like a mace. It would be exceedingly disturbing if someone were to render a picture of this probe sticking out of someone's nose, so please don't do it. :scared:

Actually - unless it has been pulled, I DO have a condom here in free stuff. A used one even (or at least unrolled...) It's part of my Trash series. When I uploaded it some 3-4 years ago I vaguely remember a few people chuckling/giggling over it and that was it.

Oh and I also have a model that started as a 3DCafe mesh, the jukebox. And it even says on the thumbnail that it is a 3DCafe mesh originally. I did poserize it though.
