I'm not able to login to CP or e-frontier for several days now. I already let ef know it but it seems that there are no problems if they try it themselves. Maybe a problem with german/european backbones or DNS-Servers...

I imagine any downloading is going to be tough for awhile, especially during 'peak' hours.  I had that problem at Daz with one of their big softwares.  I finally waited and was able to download at like 3am my time when nobody else was trying.  I haven't received my download link yet but I'm not worried.  I bet they're staggering those releases so as not to completely overwhelm their servers.

Try a different browser yet? For a while I couldn't get in unless I used firefox.

I just went to view order status, got on but it is really slow.  So, I will not go on until most have their downloads, don't want to cause any more hiccups unnecessarily.  Sharen

Same here. The most I have been able to get home is 133Mb.
I'm going to sit and watch it. Maybe then it behaves.
Don't want to miss the download and end up at the end of the waiting line.

I tried to log in with Firefox and IE - no result since last thursday...

Looks like a MONSTER download...

I changed from firefox to IE and the download seem steady as a rock right now.

i guess that i was lucky.  i preordered poser 07 on the 14th  soon after it was announced and got my downloads early this afternoon.  and yeah, a huge download!  i use ie6, it crapped out on me once, i turned off my virus and extra programs and the rest went well...almost 1.7 gigs on the program and i think much less on the content....

i thought i would be at the lower end of the list, but it worked fine.  i recieved an email with my download urls and the extra coupons...

i'm probably not going to install right away...real life takes priority.

i have time warner cable and it still took almost two hours to download it all.

Someone mentioned trying GetRight for your downloading in the event that you have to resume.

Well I ordered on the 27th, so... somebody wake me when my link goes live. :)

Maybe if lucky, It'll be there by close of business and I can do it overnight, but I'm expecting sometime Wednesday most likely...

Ergh, at this rate I guess I'm not getting my copy until the end of the week.  

They really should have set up a separate server for the downloads, I suspect a lot of people don't realize they will be recieving an e-mail notification as to when their dl is ready and they are probably constantly checking, jamming the site with unneeded traffic.

I would have never known that there was an e-mail notification system if I had not been reading these forums.  And think, there are probably thousands of people who don't check forums and bought P7.

1.63 GB...... that is one giant leap ahead compared to P6's filesize :P

Time to change to a different pace, I think I will be getting Poser  7 and Vicky 4 as my post-birthday
or as a Christmas present, that means I will have to gradually "retire" some of my V3 stuffs.

Vicky 4 looks pretty good IMO, a much better constructed model compared to V3.

I've got m mail now, too (very comfortable with this directs link, serial and everything in it!!) - but as during the last days: "Page not found...". I emptied the cache several times, tried to reach the site with our server-pc, hubby tried it. No chance. I think I will stay patient and wait for the storm to calm down.

Trying to download the files since hours. 0% is all I get...why don't have such companies enough download servers???

Just completed the download (took just over 1 hour). Installed it. Looks the same as Poser 6. Going to work now, no moretime to play.

Good luck to all downloading at the moment. When I got the mail (some 11 hours ago) it simply wasn't possible to even get to the site but now I had no problems.

If you don't get a reasonable speed all I can suggest is, break the connection and try again, at least one of the servers is working.

The "good luck" seems to work - now I'm able to log in and started downloading (5.20 hours to go but I'm sure this will need a bit more time in the end...).

I'll be happy just to get my download link.  It was too much to hope to get it, you know, on the day it was supposed to be released.  :crying:

They did have some server problems, which cost them processing all of the downloads today like they planned. But it's all fixed. I was at work when they went live, and discovered that I hadn't been activated yet. When I went to the forums after 11 pm CST, CP-Scarlet (Tori) was still there and processed anyone who was logged in in front of the queue. 

It's been a steady 203 kb/sec since. Now at 70% of the main app.

The rest of the PC DL's will be processed in the morning. I think the November thru December orders are next. If you ordered before that and still haven't been activated, open a ticket. Or if you see Tori in the forums, PM her. She was still there a few minutes ago but said she was definately leaving for home ;)

Sometimes they do work really hard for us :)

 Hi just finished my download no problems at all.

Wow! What a download. I had to hook up 12 extra hamsters on their exercise wheels to boost enough power to finish it.:ohmy: Now my only problem is finding a way to save the zip to a cd(I don't have a dvd writer  just a dvd player.) Iwould hate to lose the zip due to computer error.

YES!! I've just got back from walking the dog to find my email from e-frontier. I'm finally downloading.  Fingers & everything else crossed!

Crapped out at 10.4% Gigaget is trying to resume, but it looks like the server wants to start from the beginning...

20 minutes later...much more stable now. Just passed 11% and climbing fast!

I finally was able to finish the content pack, too :) No interruption in DL at all. A steady 200+ kb/sec. I began about 11:30, and it's just after 2:30 CST.

Off to install! A long night ahead :)

So, from the sound of it, I'm the only person whose link number 1 wasn't a link at all? I'm downloading the content pack now, and I can see my serial number, but it's not much use without the proggy :(

Yaay!  I recived my e-mail and I'm downloading now (figers crossed that it will finish smoothly.)  I'm in the same time zone as they are (California, right?) and it's 1:15am here.  Someone was working late to get me this e-mail this evening.  I sure hope they are going to have a good Christmas party for their employees!

Try again Greebo, I found Internet Explorer tried to block my download (link 1) on my first try.  Second one was the charm, though.

I got mine just a bit ago and am steadily downloading at about 294kb/sec.  Not too shabby. 

21% & all is well. I feel like pacing up & down the room until it's done, but I'd only wear away the carpet!

I got my mail as well, I guess the web server is maxed out, I'm not even getting past "Getting File Information" ...  Good thing I am a night shifter :)

Hmm, I guess the link in the notification email is no good, because after sniffing around in some of the threads on this I found that most people are doing their download from My Stuff off of ContentParadise - that worked fine, 100MB in ... 1.8GB to go....

Good time to watch that Vue training video I guess...

Hmm.  That's odd.  Mine worked just fine.  Are you using IE or Firefox?  I'm using Firefox and had no issues.  I saw some other say they had some issues with IE.

The email link worked fine for me, I'm using IE. My download speed is around 90K/sec. I would have wanted it faster but I don't want to break the link now, I'm at 49%.

I am at around the same point & download speed too :0/

Contentfile is downloaded. But the application file stopped the second time after approx. 200 megs of data.... Arghhhh....  Hope this time is my lucky hour

I'm done (D/L speed was very consistent at about 270Kb/s) , zips check as OK, so burning to DVD.

Download completed, installed and now ready to play.  Whee!  Good luck, ya'll.

It may have been because I got the automatic update for newer version of IE, which broke many things e.g. 3ds Max demo would not install, and which I uninstalled.  I don't think the uninstall rolled back to the last version 100%.  I'm not too worried about it, I got it downloaded and the installer is running now... plus I have a complete hardware and OS and whatnot upgrade coming in a few weeks, so it's all really just sandbox right now anyway.

Well I'm downloading at a lightning fast 11 KB/s with a mere 42 hours to go. That seems to be the best I can get, an earlier attempt dropped the speed to around 4 KB/s and said it would take 144 hours! I really hope it doesn't drop the link, there's a limit to how much I can download per month (3GB) and if I exceed it I'll have to wait till next month. The joys of technology in the 3rd world   :-(

Yowch, you must be getting routed through a narrow bandwidth pipe somewhere.  Not a lot you can do about that from your end, that sucks.

I wonder if you can zip the file as a split zip so you can fit it on cd to back it up? Just a thought until you can get a dvd burner. I grabbed one at Sams club was really inexpensive.
