I've been trying and trying to acheive this look but the best I can come up with looks like a flare flying out of the retina... Any tips the pros can hand out to the little guys??? Thanks Nick

There's no easy way to do this with the default eyes in poser by using a texture map. It can be done in Bryce by ramping up the specular levels and adding a reasonable amount of reflection. There are alternative eyes available, one set is at Bushi's web site, another I think is at Nerds site, although my notes say someone called Virus designed a pair. I have a set I designed that allow retinal reflection but that's because I wanted to create a particular image. These alternative eyes have several mappable sections allowing the use of transparency and reflection maps to create a reflection (wet look) in the eye without the use of flares or whiteness on the tex maps. Bushi's site is http://bushi3d.com/ Nerd's site is http://www.nerd3d.com/nerd3d.htm And you can find my alternative eyes at http://www.shalako.plus.com/Files/figures/NewP4Eyes.zip and the text for these at http://www.shalako.plus.com/Files/textures/eyemap.zip I cant easily suggest another way except to try one of these alternatives, though someone else might have an idea. :) Anyway, I hope that helps a bit.

A little over a year ago - just before Vicki was released, there was a prop available here to do this for P4. Vic and Mike come with this. A low cost way to do this is to use the hemisphere primative and make fit as a layer over the surface of the eyeball, parent the prop to the head and set the trans to min/max = 100%

Jaager, That prop sounds like Bloodsong's spheres with all the slices. Carolly

Questor- you should re-post those things. They are Boon to Man stuff! -And from what I've seen, not enough people use them. I always use your NewP4eyes, and/or momodots "Moist Eyes". I could never get Bushi's eyes to look right for me (too dark) but probably it was my own ineptitude a year ago.

Thanks Talos, I didn't realise anyone used my props at all That'll teach me not to hang around in the galleries... anyway, as soon as I've finished redesigning my site I'll try to remember to repost the eyes. :)
