You did a very nice job with the B&W 😄 What effect are yo looking for?

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

Hello Radiafx !

thank you :D

mmmm... it's difficult to say. I don't search for a particular effect, just following my sensations while trying to remember my own feeling at the moment of the pic.

Here is another sample from my last post :

before :

after postwork, about 45min.

hope you like ! :D

:( alors je me suis arreté... malheureusement ...

il faudra que je refasse la photo ! ... heuuuuuuu mais pas tout de suite, c'est à 800km de chez moi lol

Really lovely work on the snowy Jura forest scene. I like that soft touch a lot. May I suggest cloning out the 2 man made poles? They don't add to the scene and taint the purity of the moment. The second one is lovely as well. :)

Thank twopynts :D

.. yes you're right ! i didn't think about it but now.. yes, it hurts my view ! i will erase it tonite and repost here as well ;o)

olivier158 ( ) posted Thu, 11 January 2007 at 4:50 PM

here it is ! without poles ! :D

I like the B&W versions - looks almost like infrared. The small tree in the foreground is pleasantly crsip (really makes it stand on its own) in contrast with the background trees (an almost dreamy softness to them), and it's nice that you can still see good texture in the snow - nice technique!

Well done-
-Lew ;-)

many thanks ! ...

i must recognize that is difficult to do (not about the poles lol)... i work hard to modify my images like this and i'm really very very happy with your comments !!

I don't know if you agree (but i hope lol) but... the most difficult thing to do is to modify a picture like it hasn't been modified ... Then the only possibility to know if the pic has been modified, is to view the original.. (i'm sorry for my english :s ) I try to do this, but it's difficult...

so, i will try to do better and better ! thanks a lot ! 😊😊

now time to sleep ;) it's 00:42 AM here lol

:D

Lovely work on these. Your first shot looks absolutely wonderful in black and white.

I'm just curious...how come these images are appearing at such a large size and are over 200k? I thought that wasn't possible in the forum.

I'm not complaining, btw. I'm just surprised to see this size and resolution...
