This is probably a dumb question. But I downloaded and was playing with Apophysis and I can't get it to render with a transparent background. Can anyone tell me how to do that?

Change the file type that contains the full address of the file that it is saving the render as to ".png". Depending on which version you have, I think the newest 2.05 beta2z+ or whatever has a box to check for transparent background. Haven't looked to see it for myself because I haven't needed it lately - hearsay...

Nope, didn't work...it is rendering with an all black background. I have tried all the preset png's and there is no box to check for transparency.

Providing your working with one of the latest versions, try this:

In OPTIONS
Chose the DISPLAY tab

Rendering:

"PNG Transparency"
*  Disable
*  Enabled

Click it to reflect Enabled, then give it another go saving in PNG format

I personally have never done one, but this looks like it may help you!

Namaste...it's universal  [ =

Using version 2.02, there is no "png transparency option.
I will go upgrade it to the new beta one and try that.
