The MarketPlace Wishing Well F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 19 6:06 am)
Have an idea for a MarketPlace product? Would you like to let the MarketPlace Merchants know?
This is the place!
Make sure you check The Product Showcase Forum and The Product Showcase Art Gallery.
Setup a background picture or photo. Then in the foreground use something like RNDA's infinity cove ground or morphing rock outcrop. In front of that stick a few clumps of grass - can help hide the feet as well if your figure isn't standing right.
The picture heres shows that kinda effect and took less than 10 minutes to setup.
Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.
That is a good idea...have already thought of doing some vibrent Voyager backgrounds and putting a balcony, flyng fantasy craft, etc. in the "front"... so have that in mind...
but for my really lazy days... just want what I described... probably should just go render up some large cycloramas in poser I guess! Would be cheaper! :)

"That is a good idea..."
Thanks.

Yep. Thats the idea.
If you choose your background carefully. It can also give a sense of distance to the scene as well.

On those days you render over a blurred background and above the knees :)

Or take your own photos and use those :)
BTW - If you ever work with simple figures shots - try the DSU I posted to the freestuff. That might help as well. You may still need to place a few middle foreground items. But this was designed to help with scenes like this.

Try the link above (look for distance simulation unit).Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.
I don't know what your exact taste is but I have some light backgrounds here http://www.3dcommune.com/3d/store/display.mv?vs_cris_bkg Haven't been able to put them up yet at R'osity because of that annoying little $300 gross sales thing lol. Loading Image

Been looking through the backgrounds as my health takes more of my energy to do my own backgrounds...I USE "bob4artist" backgrounds, some of 1010's..
BUT what is really needed are backgrounds that:
have a place in the foreground for a character to stand ON ...ie: NOT WATER.... and
backgrounds that are LIGHT! So many are very dark and if I render a well-lit character in poser, I can't put it onto a dark or back lit (sunset) background without the result looking off, lighting wise
and 3) wishful for my uses... rich colorful places of both reality and dreams...
Thank you for your consideration. I continue to try to make my own, I love Voyager but it's so hard to get a camera angle to get a foreground area and I continue to try with Vue...but it takes so long to set up the details/plants needed to look "real".
