I can't answer that, except for why I posted it here. Poser is a prominant part of the Ren Community. So when I expressed my thoughts on the V4 craze. It was to many vendors that I felt I wanted to reach. Plus general community. That is why I posted here. Besides why should the Mods remove it? It is just a discussion, no more, no less. That would be like saying you can only discuss food in the kitchen, or softball at the park! And it was thru listening to various opinions that I was able to soften a bit my thoughts on V4. (just a little bit) It has been lively and exciting, without being mean. That is refreshing! :) ThanX Khai! ;) .
DDevant, if this isn't interesting why are you in it? Is there something you would like to discuss? Do you have a thread of interest you would like me to see? Please forward it! :) !!!

Khai, If iI were a member of the admin team I wouldn't be suggesting an admin should move the thread to the Poser forum would I?  I'd do it myself.

If there is anything else that you do not understand don't hesitate to ask.

DesertGoddessDesigns thanks for your civil respnse. I wasn't particularly blaming you. It is possible to post to the wrong forum. Normally when this occurs an admin will move the thread to the correct forum unless it's Poser of course which it seems has a whole different set of rules.

I just decided to change to a warmer color and cut off a bunch of the length (it was so damaged from being dyed blonde for so long) I'm still getting used to it but its a big change for me. Thank you for the compliment:)

There's another  now Merchant fails to answer , but has the CASH !  More problems with his V4. It's a shame those Poser vendors have no where to go. There is always The MarketPlace Wishing Well  or MarketPlace Customer Support of course.

Arianna thanks for pointing out jolinari's faults, i dont tend to make characters perfect........ i like them to have their flaws ..... no woman out there is perfect in the real world....

also on that note - are you a tester? because i cant find your name on my list that i've sold Jolinari to? unless you use another name when purchasing.....?

Jolinari is mine and i'm quite proud of her.

i do apologise if i came across hard or what not....... i dont like doing perfect characters as i said as no woman in the world is perfect......... and i hope you find joy in using her......... it was a challenge creating her....... as i'm so used to V3.

Artemis...seriously you did something I did not think would ever happen for a really long time...created a V4 that I fell in love with! She is absolutely gorgeous! I did use the promo pic, and I was only asking about the lips....not critiqing them, only asking. She is actually one of the prettiest and shapliest V4's out in the market. She is the first to get on my wish list and will be the first I buy...When I make the plunge. I have shown her to 2 other people that did buy her! :) But they have a lot of V4 stuff.  I meant absolutely no disrespect. Please do not take as such.
You can always IM me, or respond here. I am glad that KayJay97 saw her beauty! :) She is superb, I was only asking about the stretch effect.

DDevant, can I ask in all respect, WHY, it is so upsetting to you that this thread exists here? I have seen you pop up into some other threads and have simuliar remarks. Is it that you feel poser is less of an art than photograghy? Or that not enough go there (photography forum) to discuss topics? It matters not where a thread lies, if it garners merit or discussion, to an extent . Please don't be upset. But gee why do you care where any particular thread lies? It seems a sorry waste of time to try to  police the threads, and point out where they should be. It appears that the photo forum is fairly lively! Again I was only asking. No disrespect meant.

Stacey and now proxy Stacey have pointed out that there is no forum where the punters can address the Vendor gods. The point I have made 3 times now is that there is. This being, in particular ** The MarketPlace Wishing Well** or ** MarketPlace Customer Support** forums. Both are far more appropriate than this forum. Failing those the questions are specific only to Poser so the Poser forum is another option.
But specifically ** The MarketPlace Wishing Well** is there for customers to communicate with vendors, which is exactly what this thread is about.

Hi GDG it isn't upsetting to me that this thread exists here and no I don't feel poser is less of an art than photography. Neither is an art. Poser on its own is definitely not an art. I quick browse of 99% of the Poser gallery shows that. Though one or two artists do manage to produce some good results and before we go any further I do not claim to be an artist even if the counter at the top of the page does say I am :) 
Art is what an artist produces not a piece of software or a camera.****

The thread is fine here.  The Customer support forum is mostly for customers having issues with purchasing or downloads.  Its not a place the vendors frequent as there is a Customer Support moderator there that helps purchasing type problems.  This post probably could have been posted in the Wishing Well forum BUT its not killing anybody to let it stay here, I'm not sure why you are so bothered with this?  We occasionally let these types of post stay in the CC forum, its no big deal really. You can rest easy now and not worry so much about it:(

This was really mean spirited.  She stated in her post that she was using your promo pics.  You basically accused her of Warez.

Also, I thought vendors were on a pretty close one to one basis with their testers.  Do you jot down names when going through the gallery, and IM the ones you think aren't legally using your products, too?

Once upon a time, I made a typo in the Poser forum about a character.....There were two with similar names.  One had an "h" in it and the other didn't.  I had the freebee that had the "h" in the name, but had not even unzipped it at the point of the thread I posted to.  When posting, I left out the "h", and stated I hadn't tried the character.  I got several messages from the producer of the commercial character, asking me for my sales data, etc.  Since that time, I  have NEVER bought another thing at the Rosity market.  I used to put stuff on my "wishlist" for my kids and friends to get for me in a pinch.  That whole deal turned my stomach toward the merchant mentality as a whole.  Soooo....if I came across as terse, it was with good reason.  (This all happened 5 or 6 years ago.  I explained 3 times to the vendor, but, never got so much as a reply.)

Hi Poppi, Artemis is a wonderful person, she and I misunderstood each other. I know how it feels to be angry at a person for wronging you, but this is not the case with Artemis, she is sweet. I know we are both sorry to each other. And I sympathize with what happened to you, as I know she does as well. Please, this is on good terms, we all shouldn't be upset.

**Well i for one have found only two things i like for V4, but i may never or will never buy them, because quite frankly, V4 stinks!  In ever single render/promo/vendor whatsit she looks exacly the same, those cow eyes, that horrid nose, those surgical lips, and ridiculas breasts.
I had a gift cert so i could use for V4 as an Xmas prezzie from a good friend, I used her once, thats it once, then removed her from my machine, i doubt i will ever use her again.
I still have V2, and use her occasionly as i have a lot of BVH clothing for her and some fantastic textures same with V3, i wont ever get rid of her, as she is my base for the digital me, and trying to get V4 to lookl ike me was a joke, the fat morphs are well, whats the right word for it, fatist dont quote me on that but on V3 i could get her perfeclty formed to me!

Its like vendors stopping products for P4/PPP/P5 and consentrating on P6/P7, HELLO there are still some people who cant afford P5/P6/P7 because they are to damned expencive and have to live you know!

Anyhoo, vendors DONT stop creating for V3, she aint dead yet!!!!!**

And some very big ones have thrown V3 to the wolves and said "Nope, we ain't going there no more!" Here is where Daz showed it's true colors. If V4 was a vast improvement, it would be great...for some. But for many who don't make mega bucks or have a wonderful hubby that gives them the world (ahem, like me) It is very hard to do a drastic switch. NOW IF Daz had been generous enough to improve on V4, yet give her the abillity to use V3 merchandise, then gently phase in new stuff, and make the change a lot less painless for the masses...I would be more supportive. Til then the 2 (cute) V4 characters I have found, waste away in my wishlist, and I buy the V3 stuff I already have in there now! Plus that really cute A3 RebelMommy just did!!! :)

I don't mean to sound snide, but that excuse was invalidated last September when P5 was made available to everyone for free at CP for over a week, and then for about $20 for some time afterward.

And if your computer wasn't powerful enough to handle P5, so? You should have gotten the free version, and held on to it until you could get a better computer. It's not like there's an expiration date on when you install it.

DAZ didn't do that for the V2 owners when they released V3, why would they do that for V3 owners with V4?

Wasn't everyone griping about how their extensive V2 content was "invalidated" by the relase of V3, only to eventually accept that V2 was old news, and that V3 was here, and here to stay?

I don't see any difference between then and now, and unless the rigging drastically changes for P8, I can guess that we'll be seeing the same arguments when V5 is released, because in all likelyhood nothing of V4's will work with her.

Well first off, Modus0...be nice to DarkStarRising! I spoke to more folk who couldn't download P5 because of internet connections being dropped, CP not being able to keep the product from crashing due to excessive downloads and also corrupted files. Not everyone is a Uber Guru as it seems you appear to be. Some are new to the poser family. So play nice or I'll make you rust.
As to your remark to my response, V4 is ugly, hard to work with, and I don't like her. I don't have to jump on anyone's bandwagon if I don't care to. :P Other than that have a wonderful nite! :)

V4 is hard to work with... plus her templates are a nightmare to me...... V3 and Aiko3 and sp3 (poor steph) continue to be my favs and i'll be releasing more products for these three....

No one was forcing anyone to download immediately after purchasing, just 2 weeks after the deal was announced the CP site seemed fairly stable to me, so downloading then (or anytime after that) would have been a smarter thing to do than the immediate download.

After all, unlike some other Poser-related marketplaces, CP downloads don't expire unless you use them up.

Did you take a closer look at the V3-V4 muscle morph comparison I put up on the previous page of this thread? That is an ugly V4, almost makes the default look like a model.
