Subject: Sydney

I do like Sydney.
I like her face,
I like her legs and the way they bend,
I generally like her body shape too.
but boy, who made her breasts?

And - HELP- general call- who makes a low poly version of her.

E_F_ you listening?  thanks.

Tony

I see that you've just read a related thread (started by me) in this forum.
I like Sydney too, although I think her face makes her look a bit like Cruella de Vil.

42475 vertices is not low res at all!
It is just fine and I would describe it as medium resolution 😉 .It is nice to have a lower res version of the same character.
It is sad that P7 didn't include that already! Figures that would take advantage of the best P5> feature : the smoothing option!
Would this be available somewhere?

A gallant attempt at reducing the resolution of Sydney ... but I see a potential problem in that the polygons on the body don't appear to be symmetrical. This might present a problem when you are trying to create symmetrical body morphs.

@Deecey
Sydney is not symmetrical. I use magnets a lot on clothing and mirroring a magnet to make a morph doesn't work like it did with the older figures. Depending of the side you started on you still need to make adjustments on the other side magnets to get the clothing to fit.. A very simple one is adding the BreastNatural to clothing... do the left side mirror the magnet and you still have to tweak the settings on the right side magnet. It's been the same for every morph I've made so far

Sidney LoRez with polygon smoothing in Poser 7 (click to enlarge)

The head was reduced in Wings3D by selecting and deleting vertices manually.

The body was reduced with Polytrans. Polytrans first triangulates the mesh, then reduces it. Then the mesh was re-quadrangulated in Wings. Polytrans uses an automated reduction algorythm, so the resulting mesh is non-symmetrical.

The only way to keep her body strictly symmetrical would be to reduce it the same way as the head, by manually selecting and deleting vertices in Wings.
But  because of the expression morphs symmetry for the head is a lot more important than it is for the body IMO.

Sidney LoRez is more intended for clothed characters or cloth creation, not as a standalone to develop bodymorphs for, so I reduced her body as much as possible while still looking good with polygon smoothing enabled.

If I need more body detail, I can use a medium rez version which combines the new reduced resolution head with the standard  resolution body, resulting in a mesh that is 57000 vertices heavy.

That even sounds doable!
