Hello Again: A couple of threads down I asked about the new Content Paradise Business clothing and what character I needed to use them with. Jules53757 was nice enough to point the free G2 James download from CP. I downloaded him and the updater as well as the Poses and updater for those too. I'm in a Mac so I copied all the files to their respective folders ( I've done this before with other characters, so I'm prety sure everything is in place) But now my problem... When I try to place a James G2 figure ( I get duplicate icons of him on the browser by the way) it asks me to look for " JamesG2.OBJ" which is not in any of the folders I copied..... I have a "JamesG2.obz" and a "JamesG2.crz" . I directed the link to the obz file and was able to load it but it asks for me everytime i try to put a G2 James figure in... rather annoying. Did I install wrong or should I rename this file..? an ideas? I also tried to put some hair and conforming clothes (from the original James) and they didn't fit him very good... : ( Am I correct in assuming I have to get new clothing for him...? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks! Fernando

the .obz file is a compressed .obj. - don't just rename it. It can be unpacked using a program such as winzip (I'm not sure what the mac equivalent is - does stuffit deal with zip files as well as .sit?) The other option would be to use the python script within poser which allwos you to decompress all the files in a given folder/runtime. Be warned, however, that if you have a large compressed runtime, it can turn into a monster when decompressed!

So I need to uncompress this file..? Strange... The download was a .zip file which I uncompressed succesfuly. The result was a folder with the runtime folder and subdirectories and I put the content where it wa supposed to be... Let me try it anyway... Anybody knows about the compatibility of the James vs G2 James clothing and hair..? thanks fjv

You should be able to extract it with the built in Python script uncompress files.

You can buy clothing for any of the G2 Males to fit James:

Unless there really is a reason to uncompress the file, might you not solve the problem by saving the file back on itself after loaded?  Poser should simply change the path in the saved .cr2, and the reference is preserved.  Maybe?
