Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 27 12:30 pm)
interPoser Pro currently won't let you do this in C4D as the bones are proprietary (my own plugin bones) and are not understood by C4D for such purposes. That said, there will be a feature to convert these bones into standard C4D bones or joints in the near future. This would allow FBX export using C4D.
For now, though, your best bet would be to get Daz|Studio, purchase the FBX plugin for it, and use that instead. The downsides are:
I've not heard great things about the FBX export results.
It's $99.95. If you were a Daz PC member, you could have had it for $1.99 just a couple days ago!

D|S doesn't support most of the features of Poser 7 (esp. PMD (external binary morphs) and Animation Layers). If not doing any animation, try turning off 'use external binary morph targets' in the Poser General Preferences:Misc. and resaving the scene. This might allow it to import. Also make sure that your Poser 7 Runtime is known to D|S for dereferencing (geometry, texture maps, etc.).
No idea when the bone conversion will be implemented. Currently working on Recent Lists and Favorites (not too much work) and then IK and PointAt support are slated next. Bone conversion is after these, so it may be some months.

I need to be able to import a poser scene into Electric Image Animation System. The way i was thinking of doing this is to use InterPoserPro in c4d and export that as a .fbx, to import into EIAS.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get poser scenes into EIAS?
