THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Is your art stolen and displayed here and what to do about it!

Lyne ( ) posted Mon, 12 March 2007 at 5:00 PM · edited Sat, 08 February 2025 at 5:40 PM

Here is what might REALLY help!! Write to the e mails at the ISP's that NOTICE: ARE

NOT BASED IN RUSSIA! Send the link to your image (click to get large copy) and if

you want, send the link to your rosity gallery for proof of your ownership. I am going

to do that.

If we all do this, it may actually help!!!

The site itself for you to check:
http://www.artfile.ru/oboi/us_ad.php?p=32&j=0&us_id=329&s=a
and be sure to dump cookies etc. after!

Hi Lyne, Well, The next step when you cant contact the actual site owner is to

contact the ISP that is hosting the site. The ISP will generaly contact the site owner

or bring the site down if enough requests are sent to them about the site illegally

displaying copyrighted works.

I checked on this site and found that the ISP hosting the site appears to be as

follows:

I looked through about 200 pages of this. It's mainly Poser stuff, and mostly unclothed or nearly so..;) They hit some people more than others, and a lot are unattributed. Surprisingly, though I noted some familiar names, a lot of this stuff was new to me. Still, they didn't ask permission, so they're opening up a whole can of woop-@#$ on themselves.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

There is an offer of help from a Fractal member.
Check out the thread there. And the one in Photography and Poser.

I am even talked with a few friends of hard erotic images, some of them got ripped too.

Gog ( ) posted Tue, 13 March 2007 at 5:59 AM

I'm still content that none of my stuff will be good enough to be ripped, but for those that are, hope you there's gonna be a butt wooping!

also say wiskeysierra (http://www.artfile.ru/oboi/b/i.php?i=a|221085) and fpicini (http://www.artfile.ru/oboi/b/i.php?i=a|218889) works (also attributed)

Lyne ( ) posted Tue, 13 March 2007 at 3:09 PM

I got a trouble ticket from this e mail!!... so don't give up... send lots of e mails with the links to the large copy of your image and complain!! I got:

"RIPE NCC Operations" ops@ripe.net

Greetings,

This message has been automatically generated in response to the
creation
of a ticket regarding:

"Web site traced back to you is hosting illegal copies of art!"

Maybe in some small way we can make a difference! Especially important for those of us making money from our art!

Death_at_Midnight ( ) posted Tue, 13 March 2007 at 3:20 PM

What might be helpful is to make a database of art sites that do display illegal art. Kinda like a black list. Artists could check the list before supporting the web site with their art. The database could be expanded to include people, as I understand there are some persons who go about uploading art work, claiming to be the artist. There was an issue some months ago about this type of person.

Lyne ( ) posted Wed, 14 March 2007 at 5:05 PM

reclicked my image link and now it's a "re-direct" so fast I can't copy it, but goes to a

DIFFERENT SITE with a photo of potatoes!! ?!?!  So is my art image still at that other

site but hidden or removed? Is this their way of removing the art?? Curious!

The Redirect to Potatoes is active right from the root address
