I've never rant before but here goes...I recieved this e-mail this morning...I putting blank in the place of the Mods name.

This is a notification that (Blank) has engaged the nudity flag for your image titled "War Cry". This is just a reminder that, as per the site Terms of Service, when you upload an image you are required to select either "None", "Nudity", "Violence" or "Both" as an indicator for the content of that image.

This action has been noted in your member record. This is a reminder, not an official warning. However, should you continually and intentionally not flag images as containing nudity or violence when appropriate, it could result in an official warning on your member record. 

The thing with this my character is not nude at all...She has a breast plate on and panties...
I've rechecked the TOS to see if I violated any guideline and NO I didn't...I've try contacting Rendo and the Mod who send me the E-Mail but no ones has responded since early this morning.I just don't understand how this could be consider Nudity...I'm not just a Member here but also a vendor for about 6 or 7 years and I have never violated the TOS...and to put a blotch on my membership is not exceptable especially if I haven't violated any TOS...

Well... if that's the image you're on about then its left me scratching my head. No nudity there in my opinion. Mods huh?... nice people but i wouldn't want my son/daughter to marry one.

the mod in question will be able to explain it better, e.g. if it were in response to a complaint, or if there is a specific area of concern to somebody. they probly won't wanna do it in this forum.

If you read the TOS my image does not violate any guildline...It's not for a Mod to make a moral judgement....Nudity is Nudity and not how tight the clothes are...She is a Adult Character and NOT some under age Character...If how sexy a character looks now means we have to rethink weather or not we have to put a nudity flag up...As long as we follow the TOS we shouldn't have to rethink our image...Now we have to worry about the camel toe police...This would be ridiculous.

artistheat - I totally agree, so long as your character isn't underage, which she clearly isn't, then there shouldn't be a problem. I would like to know the mods view on this one.

Yeah definate unmissable camel tow, which looks on glancing like the panties are see through and you're seeing that unrealistic shaven mohawk of pupic hair charactaristic of the nude figures.    Second, the "boobage"...... it took me several moments to realize there was anything on her chest.  With the glare and lighting and that the "metal" moves like perfect second skin, it could look like "thinly masked boobage shot".   I realize its there, but i did have to really reaaaaaally look at it.

Now I heard everything...This is there response..

In reviewing the image in question, you can see the nipples through the paint or whatever that is on the breasts which would require the nudity flag to be ticked.

That is what you call a reflection and not a nipple...From now I'm clicking Nudity and Violence flags...Even if it's a Bird drinking water...LOL...UNBELIEVEABLE!

So can we have a mod in here to clarify this please.

To me (obviously my opinion means nothing in the grand scheme here) your image shows no nudity at all...  looks like armor breastplate and no nipple showing through (ie no transparency but the natural bump a nip would make under clothes) and the "camel toe" looks more to be shadow....  but again remember my opinion here meansnothing!!!  LOLZ!!!

I got a similar warning re thumbnail nudity around 8pm (pacific) last night and I really, really had to squint and use my imagination to see it...  well actually zoomed it in 300% in photoshop and saw what could have been nipple action or shadow but I redid the the thumb but the image still hasn't been reactivated in my gallery....  However I did use it as the main image on my 'rosity page in I suppose an immature act of petulance!!!  LOLZ!!

i think it might be those spikey things...especially that one coming out of the shield ... now that's getting pretty close to porn, imo.....but wait !!! you say they can see nipples????  There's a better chance of seeing one down by her knees than on her boobs.... at least there isn't any clothes covering that area.
They'll be seeing boobs on rocks pretty soon...make sure you cover all rocks with moss or something similar.
And probably see boobs in cloud formations...only blue clear skys from now on.

This is now totally ridiculous!! I think the mods have gone too far on this one. I have stayed away from disagreeing with them in the past but this time they have just made themselves look silly! If any body could be offended by this picture then they seriously need to take stock of their lives. Why on earth would a nudity tag be needed for this, there are no nipples showing!

It's all getting a bit silly... It's reflection, not a nipple. Camel toe (if it is camel toe and not just shadow) is camel toe and not nudity. The figure is not nude and looks overage so what's the problem. Personally i think the mod(s) called this one wrong. For anyone to call this a breach of TOS, especially a mod, they must be just looking for an argument.

It's a bit sad really. What will probably happen is what always happens. Big arguments... Warnings issued... Maybe even a banning or two... And for why? Because someone is determined to see nudity when it just isn't there. I thought mods were supposed to calm flame threads... not cause them.

So if I saw a woman out in public (real life not poser) with protruding nipples under her shirt 'rosity mods would consider it nudity??  This is absolutely ridiculous!!  If any mods are reading please chime in with clarification...

In a different forum I was asked to modify the thumbnail of an image because at low resolution the image was "ambiguous". I have been asked to pull an image from the shop because it was in silhouette and as the figure was wearing a body suit it might be perceived the figure was nude. I believe the issue with your image is between the faux nipple and the vulva cleft this image might be NSFW or however that is spelled (Not Safe For Work) on low resolution monitors. The figure might look like she has a wicked tan line and is selectively oiled up ;0)

Actually I see the problem. You can see her vagina clearly...looks like the panties were painted on. I think if you have removed genitals checked and maybe colored the top better you wouldn't have gotten tagged. Not that I'm a prude or anything but it does look pretty suggestive. So go ahead and flame me folks, I'm with the mod on this one. Though I do think you should have been warned without giving you a mark on your record here.

They say it's not a warning But then they say it has been noted on my member record....To me that's a warning..Marque if it's not stated in the TOS why should we be worry about a Image that doesn't violate the TOS...Clothes on a person does not = Nudity

I can see the point on the genital area but at the end of the day no matter how well done or not [no offence intended] it's not nude, it's a second skin or and I have already asked for clarification on this further up; Are second skin outfits now seen as "nudity" if any bits show!!!???

Nips and lips sticking through clothing are sexy sure, but nudity, Not!!!

It is obvious anyone that deems this image as having nudity, or even sexually provocative, needs some serious counseling.

And if you do not get counseling and continue to spend your time here, you must be sexually perverse that you want to continue looking at this stuff and fantasizing about what isn't there.

Maybe this could all be saved by adding an extra class to the tags ? "Possibly Suggestive Semi-clad Female/Male Human Adult "  :) To my mind, clothing is clothing,  .Nude means NAKED..ie..NO Clothes. There are unfortunately some people to whom even the 'suggestion' of nakedness is offensive..the obsessive ones go LOOKING for pics to be offended by:( Now..if you allow them to be arbiters of 'public taste/morality' , we are in trouble.  The figure in question is very clearly clothed..maybe there are unfortunate 'reflections/shadows..but if you have to go enlarging pics/reducing resolution, etc to even NOTICE them..isn't the complaint a bit ridiculous ? Maybe the Mod involved felt they had to acknowledge the complainers request, maybe they could have done it a lil better..but unless we hear..(and as general members we have no right to hear of private communications between mods and individual members)...the reasoning from the mod involved, we won't know. 
Is there a 'standard form letter/email' form that the mods use to correspond with members over possibe TOS violations ? If so, maybe THAT is the problem in that it automaticaly adds a 'warning' when it's not really justified ? Form Letters don't really cover all circumstances.
If you want TOS violations..consider this..how many members can recall a 'classic' advertisment from the 50's- 60's (?) for "Coppertone' Suntan Lotion' ? If I recall, it  was  a young female child, her puppy and the bottom of her bathing costume. NO WAY would that classic be acceptable today..but it was perfectly harmless and well done.

Now I understand that people don't want minors to see nudity, but what really saddens me is that there are people out there that find the naked human form somehow offensive. If I ever get to that stage in my life I'll want some one to shoot me. If tastefully done, nudity, or suggestive form, can be a great work of art. Offensive? I think not.

It's a second skin and we still don't have a reply from a mod as to whether or not, based on this example second skins are now nudity!!

Simple question requires a simple answer, any mod out there care to comment??

What I was told any outline of private parts must be label with the nudity tag...So I would guess if the second skin does not cover nipples or vaginal form  it also gets nudity tag.

thefixer - I think your question here might add further problems to the TOS, maybe we'll now get a revision of it.

Nice to see the mods not taking any interest in this topic!!  From what I gather from being a member here for AGES, that the mods are from North America & UK etc...  so with the differing time zones someone at least could have (should have) read and responded!!!  I know mods have lives too but isn't that why they're supposed to be here moderating and such? 

Hmmm...  perhaps though, this is such an ugly (petty) issue that none of them want to get in the fray of things!!!    I know I wouldn't wanna!!!  Especially if I was the mod who issued the warnings etc...  heh!!

Okay Guys...This is what I know about this. The Mods and the Rendo team are discussing this and are working on a solution on how to handle Images like mine and others that are borderline as they call it...Will this be a Revise of the TOS...I don't know...We would just have to sit and wait...

Ok gang, I just got here.

Artistheat, I have been in communication with you, and you already know why the image was tagged. But to clarify with everyone else here, the image was tagged as 'containing' nudity because of the obvious genital cleft showing thru the panties. Transparent clothing needs a nudity tag, and its in the TOS. {no, it does 'not' say "All transparent clothing must be tagged for nudity"} but transparent clothing is mentioned. We cannot possibly write every single instance of possible violations that could occur into the TOS..it would be huge.

Also, again, for clarity..a 'reminder' was issued..NOT a warning. Just because a note is placed on your record, does not mean you have been warned...when a warning is issued, it will be specifically noted in the form letter and the record.

The only way one will get a warning for something like this is if they repeatedly do so after several reminders, and its clear they are doing it on purpose.

About the second skins....we are reviewing images on a case by case basis...many times these second skins look to be simply painted on..with nipples, genitals, etc standing out..and it doesn't appear to be clothing at all. In those cases, the image will be tagged for nudity.

If I missed anyones questions, please let me know, and I'll do my best to address it.

jumpstartme2 - OK, I understand the issue regarding the genital area, we had a bit of a laugh about that, but I got the impression it was about the nipples. If the pic was mine I personally would have tagged it as it is in the TOS, I just think there were some cross wires here as to why there was a problem.

Looked. The genitals look like a shadow. If I was offended by nudity, I would be more offended by the breasts since upong third look I can see the aureal, or whatever that is. Tssk, tssk!

They really are going waaaaaaaaay too far. Nudity flag for a nipple protrusion on a breast plate! And I have to agree with thefixer, if it's covered and not transparent...it's not nude. You cannot see her vagina clearly...it's a shadow. This is really getting out of hand. I'd like to see a mod explain this one to us.

There is a simple solution - stop fighting the system and succumb.  Resistance is futile.  Exterminate!  (oh, sorry, wrong Sci Fi show). ;)

Wanna make it more convenient for everyone, do as artistheat suggested earlier: mark all of your gallery images with "Nudity" and "Violence".  The more the merrier!  You should plainly see where this is going.  If they want people of a certain ethnicity to wear a yellow star of sorts, how better to break the system then have everyone where the yellow star of sorts...

Can they warn/ban everyone for following the TOS, even if beyond reason?

Give me a break...all you had to do was check the nudity tag. I'm not a prudish person but I can see that someone might be offended by that pic. Why do you make such a big deal out of it? The pic isn't even that good...looks like you just threw it together to get a reaction, which you have. More trollish than anything else.
