Subject: Content Paradise --- I'll give them one thing

I have to admit, even though I do not like CPs overall customer response and their attitutde sometime, (outlined in numerous other threads),  they do give away one heck of a lot of models.
Also real good deals for their Passport members.
I haven't figured out the totals, but , for instance, they gave away the G2 males, G2 Jessi and Miki...tons of animals, sometimes the quality is a bit questionable, but there they are none the less...
If you haven't been by there lately, they are giving away quite a hunk of stuff for their birthday party. A grab bag on the 22nd, now a grab bag of EF science series stuff, some of which I had before, but there they are for those that don't have them.

So overall, I guess I should be nice to them and thank them for all the free stuff. They don't have to do it, but they do.

Now if they could just start answering their emails and quit being so damn defensive when you complain about product problems and stuff. Plus their forums are wound pretty tight. Lighten up a bit and accept some criticsm.

I tend to avoid that site. I find it very confusing and not very user friendly to maneuver around in.   Unless I see a link posted that leads directly to something, I don't bother going there.

EDIT: I just went to their main page and don't see any indication of a "birthday" celebration happening.

maybe you have to be a passport member or something to see everything. The original grab bag from the 22nd is now gone...as are the references to CP birthday...however, this product, still mentions it

March 22 was Miki's release day. I looked at the Freebies section, saw the Grab Bag, and got lots of a kickass freebies. Weeee ^^ In the Battle of the March Madness..., I spent about the same at DAZ and CP, but I got more free things I didn't have and will use at Content Paradise, -- so I'll give the thumbs up to CP. The Birthday Party was a pleasant surprise. ^^ I've had good customer service there too, even on the strange problem of my Shade 8 for the Mac. The "File a Ticket" system seems to work well. I don't like black as the background color of the forums, too hard to read, but the new store's look has grown on me. I'm really liking the G2 figures a lot. Overall, CP has had a good year. I am feeling the CP love right now. Yea, CP! ^^ bB

AAuggghh...I HATE being on dialup! I missed the massive mega giveaway!..Wah!!!  Ah, well, running out of hard drive space anyway, but I'd sure like to have the G2 figures...

Personally, my main gripe about CP is, as with Acadia, their interface.

It looks too much like candy to me, and it tends to make sites run slower when they invest in a lot of "eye-candy" as opposed to functionality.

And I dread to imagine how long the 104 MB "Whitehouse Wardrobe for G2" would take on dial up. Even on DSL it took a while.

the best thing I like about Content Paradise is the 5% rebate you get at the end of each month, it's usually good for a couple free purchases the following month.  Because of that I tend to buy all my RDNA, Renderosity and multiple other stores items though CP.   You get the sale prices offered here plus the extra 5% rebate.  Too bad I didn't realize it was available for the first year I was shopping there

The Poser Science gift bag has been extended until April 1st and now includes the Solar System Pro Sampler - Saturn Moons that orbit  with a Poser Animation that is included in the package now.

We might add another gift or two as well.

Enjoy.

This is the only site I've encountered that gives me grief when validating Poser program serial numbers since they've changed the downloads policy. After many frustrating attempts with P6 & 7, I was finally able to to have my P5 serial accepted, only to have the the results disappear next time I tried to download something. I don't need that kind of grief, so in future I'll simply avoid the site. Too bad. There are a lot of good and talented Poser people who depend on the marketplace there to earn a bit of extra income. I'll feel guilty for not patronizing them.

yeah...although this seems to work, just the planetary stuff. I seem to find the 'free' stuff costs $3+.

Where?

I didn't see any free flamingo up there.

I did see a flamingo that you have to buy something else in order to obtain for "free".

But when you have to buy something else to get something, its not "free".

As a consumer you should never feel sorry that you don't take your business to someone who  you feel gives you inadequate or terrible customer service. As the consumer who's money they're trying to get, you have every right to go shop elsewhere if you don't like something about the store.

I bought P6 a few month ago, andin general I like it.,but I find E-F& CP attitude to customers problems/queries very strange. As though customers are realy a nuisance and their life would be so much better if we disappear... First I had problems with the Mac demo I downloaded  which apparantly didnt work at all. In response to my e-mail query I was asked a lot of questions about my computer which I  answered and then...nothing.no  response at all.  Their ticket system is a mystery to me.I opened one a while ago and never got any response. I managed to sort the problem out myself, but they should have said something.
The latest problem I had was with their weekly freebees. I get their e-mail newslaters on the wed. so I thought the "week"lasts to the following wed. Due to the DNS problems they had recently I didnt manage to get on CP till the following Mon and then it wasnt free. The one and only response I ever got from them (efgirl) with a snipet of usefull info was that their "week" begins on Friday. So by the time we get the newsletter there are only 2 days left! I never encountered merchants who announce their promotion when it's nearly over!
It is their privilede to decide what,if any, freebees/discounts  they give and for how long, but how hard can it be to announce when exactly they expire and put an expiry date on the items?
My latest message to efgirl on the CP site wasnt answered. I asked  that she forward my comments to someone else,if she cant sort it, but got no answers from anyone. My tickets I opened about this subject just disapeared.
It is a shame.  I would have liked to buy more products from them (including P7 when it is more stable) but,as other people remarked, why should we do business with people who treat us like dirt?
Please someone at E-F /CP change your attitude to customers,it will be to your benifit too!
Pnina
