I hadVue 5 infinite install in my macos x before. Then deleted it cause i didn't use it for a long time. And then, this week i reinstalled it. I notice that none of the basic plants appear in the Load plant thing. For example i don't get the basic fern, the basic flower , etc. I did install the latest update and i wonder if that update is what made this happen. Because i actually do have the Fern and flower inside the PLANTS folder, in fact i see all the VEG files for the basic plants. As shown in this picture. But only the plants in the EDITED PLANTS and ALIEN PLANTS appear in the vue Load plants species option. Why is this happening?

Well no one has read m y message but i have a n update for you. I discovered the problem IS the latest update of Vue 5 infininte. i uninstalled the latest update, and went back to version 5.05-02 build 275925. and the plants are now there. so it is the dumb update. However the update was awesome because for example P6 characters are imported quickly and with 5.05 it's slow. So i guess i'll have to give up on the basic plants. Where would i find free Plants to use in vue? Roses, flowers, etc etc.

Ok guys i'm back. Well guess what i fixed it. I just went back to 5.05. again, and it asked me "there's a new update 5.11 want to install?" i installed and now it works. Now i got the basic plants That's weird how that happened.

From the beginning, I never had all the default plants in V5I.
I had to create in Vue a folder designing Vue own Plants folder !

Recently, Vue crashed really hard (after relaunch, it lost every manual folder of objects, plants… ), and I had to do the same manœuvre again. So I don't think it's related to a specific update.

This is something I already read a few times in forums.

Good point is : you're not alone to experience that !

Ok, it happened again. I had it fixed already by going back a version. then reinstalling the update. But then after 1 week of good use. The basic plants disappeared again.. This is tiring, do i have to keep uninstalling and installing the software just to use it normally?

Are you sure they aren't installing somewhere else? Like under C:/My documents - Vue does default to this unless you tell it otherwise.

Another thing you can do is copy the plant folder somewhere, then after you install an update, copy the contents back to it. I do the same with my other folders(the libraries I chose to keep under the main app) as well.  Just to avoid such problems if they crop up :)

dlk, did you see my Pic at the beginning? I use macos x. But in the pic, that's the plants folder inside Vue folder. and all the basic plants are there, where they are supposed to be. They just dn't appear in the plant selection in the program. So my plant folder is there. with all the plants including the Alien and Edited folders. In the program only the Alien and Edited ones appear, but not the basic ones( flower, trees, fern , etc)

OK, well i fixed it. I did it by going into Load Plant Species.. Of course the basic plants were not there so i did NEW COLLECTIon and selected the PLANTS folder. they are back: ) ok thanks see you
