The atrwork on each as well as the different shapes and sizes tells a lot about the area around them, we used to drive cross country each year as children. They were often the landmarks we'd look for after the threat of , " if you ask are we there yet one more time..." became very real sounding. Each year there were more or different ones. The last few trips many seemed faded and sad, and there didn't seem to be as many.
Yesterday i went to photograph some figureskaters practising for this exhibition-thingie of theirs, and i might as well post a few here. I´m suppose to make them a poster as well for that event....sigh. That will be the death of me i´m sure.
How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when
isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is

The one you caught of the mermaid with her reflection is my favorite, though they are all good. Hey Kort isn't there one near the Atlantic city Boardwalk that's shaped like an elephant? ( water tower not figure skater) Or maybe the elephant is a restuarant and the diving horses are on the tower. Gotta sleep not done with the overnights yet. BJ
LOL at BJ ...
These are excellent, Andreas. Love their costumes. I'd love to see your poster when it's finished. :^ )

Thank you both. I´d love to see that poster myself....´cause that would mean it will actually be finished, lol. Right now it doesn´t look too good.

Here is a re-work of a shot i posted in my gallery over the weekend. I've entered it into competition in which you have to take a pic "Contre-jour" which translates to "against the day" if my french is still up to par. Basically take a picture where the main light source is pointed at the camera.

No cloning Rich. I actually rolled out my 10 meter long backdrop and taped it up against the board. Then some touch-ups getting rid of shadows and stuff. Nice moody image by the way. I like the low POV. Good luck with the competition.

now there is dedication for you...good job! And thanks - the voting starts tomorrow.
On the subject of competition did anyone enter the National History Museum's Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition? i entered my shot of the guys hand holding a chip for a sea gull into the "One Earth Award"... it was £20 entry, but i thought it might do fairly well, so was worth a try...

Before the chill hit and temp dropped to freezing, I got two pics to share. I will put one of these on my gallery tomorrow.
This first is "Leaves, Spring Life". Folks get the flowers and may miss the simple beauty of new leaves forming on a tree branch. Here 'tis.
like that first shot tom, very spring-like and a strong compo :)
and is it me or is whoever is in the third pic holding a WWII German hand grenade?! =S

@ BJ -- I think the elephant is a pub/restarant...not sure about the horse. ;'] "Hey Kort isn't there one near the Atlantic city Boardwalk that's shaped like an elephant? ( water tower not figure skater) Or maybe the elephant is a restuarant and the diving horses are on the tower"
