Subject: have some problem huston :)) clothing and hierarchy

first of all i m using macintosh g3 300 and poser 4.0 how could i notify that convert hierarchy option is working ? i guess it is not working...:(( and some problem to create poseble clothing i think im kind of stupid that i didnt get anything from the tutorials or my poser is not working :)) how can i learn to make posable clothes ?? huston help me ....

What makes you think the convert Hierarchy isn't working? Do you get a blank thumnail in your library and a blank screen after doing that? If so. That's normal. You need to double click the new thumbnail to create the figure for the first time. I don't own a MAC. So I'm not a good person to answer these kind of problems. ScottA

i guess working style is the same i mean for pc and mac. let me say whats happinin'... i import obj file than spawn props. delete the original. in a text editor i write the hierarchy with rotation order and save as a phi file. .convert it and nothing happens . i dont see any thumbnail in new figure or anywhere else. then i try after spawn probs in hierarchy editor make it the hierarchies and then write hierarchy rotation order in text editor , and convert it at poser 4 ... bingo nothing happens. but if i push the button , bottom of the hierarchy editor window that says create new object , it creates a new object but i see a black thumbnail and rotation order is the default... thats what i have i guess i m gonna blow this machine down.... :))) thanks if someone helps me...

I think your mixing the two ways to make characters. If you have a obj file with the proper group names you can use a PHI file to convert it into a figure. If you are working with imported geometry, you need to create the hierarchy using the Hierarchy Editor and create the character in Poser (PHI files and PHI conversion is not used in this process).
