Anyone else notice that Vicky's head is much too small for the rest of her body? Or is it just me?

cf2000 ( ) posted Wed, 16 May 2001 at 1:28 PM

LOL! I did and also she has rather large thighs, or it that just me? :)

JeffH ( ) posted Wed, 16 May 2001 at 1:54 PM

The head looks fine to me. Try the emaciated FBM setting ;-)

ummm.....i like large thighs....... ;)

br0ken ( ) posted Wed, 16 May 2001 at 2:02 PM

The head LOOKS fine, its just that its about 3/4 the size that it should be. People of averagge height dont have tiny heads like that. This is taken with the barbarian morph -- which I particularly like. Her head is way too small though, with ANY morph. The emaciated morph is pretty disturbing.

LOL! Thankfully, so does my hubby! I just meant that, in the image above, they look a little out of perportion with the rest of her body. I guess that's why we get all those little dials to fix it, huh? :)

Jaager ( ) posted Wed, 16 May 2001 at 2:13 PM

Very easily changed: go to Head - find "scale" (not scaleX or Y or Z) and turn it up to about 110% For all the new people with Vicki, I will repeat tmech's trick for reducing the hands (&feet). Select each group but hands/fingers (feet/toes) and scale them up 106-110%. Then go to BODY and scale it back to 91-95%. If you get a ruler prop, you can scale it further on down to a precise height. As she comes, Vicki is about 5'11" tall.

Here's a comparison, front camera. From left to right, Vickie 2, Posette, Posette scaled to about Vickie's height and the real April Hunter. It's obvious that Vickie 2's head is a bit smaller in comparison both to Posette and a real woman. April Hunter maps to a scaled-up Posette pretty closely, given the pose she has in the photo, and noting that April is a tad wider because of working out than an average model of that height would be (she's 5'9") and the implants that distort the natural position of her breasts.

Why couldn't Daz have got Vicky's proportions right? Surely all they would have needed to get it right was a full frontal nude photograph and a ruler?

JeffH ( ) posted Wed, 16 May 2001 at 3:37 PM

The Vic proportions are right for that body type and height. She's a big girl ;-) If you don't like the head size, set the Victoria2 head morph to "zero".

Forgive me for I have sinned. :) Oh no I turned the dials all the wrong way..... Not. :) Just kidding. :) :) :)

Destiny ( ) posted Wed, 16 May 2001 at 7:57 PM

I had that problem, and I just increased the scale of the head to 105% and it seemed to work fine :)

Vicky 2 isn't a model of a woman, it's a castrato with breasts!

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Thu, 17 May 2001 at 10:41 AM

Castrato with breasts? Huh? And yes I know what a castrato is ... I don't know where you got that but whatever. I would really like to see what you would consider a "model of a woman"

I got Vickie II yesterday, haven't had time to even look at her yet, is her head bigger than regular Vickie? I think regular Vickie's head is way to small- more like 8 or 10% too small. Anyway, this is what Supermodel Vickie looks like in the same lineup. I tried to make her dimentions "real" (real for a Supermodel, anyway), she has about 1" less around the waist and 1" more around the chest than the most extream of them (probably N. Cambell, I guess), but the camera makes you fatter, everyone knows that, and we guys love the big chest, so that was as small as I dared go with the default. SMV's head is about 7% biger that Vickie's, and her eyes are also moved up, so the difference is more than that once she has her hair on. Anyway, she is my version of a "model of a woman", except really more along a "model of a model". She could exist in real life, unlike some rather top-heavy creations I've seen ;-) Incidently, while we are on the subject of "mistakes", how about the Posette's low knees? Vickie is better on that, and I moved them up even more in SMV. And I'm not even going to even get started on the Posette's knee lumps!

Jim, The head is the same size. DAZ did not mess with the scale settings in the default CR2.
