hi all, just wanna show you my first test with some imported Vue mats (via PLE version) in the "house interiors" scene; the synergy between vue material presets and carrara speed render engine looks promising

I don't get it. How did you import Vue Materials?

I thought Carrara did not read Vue Material files or am i missing something here?

actually all I do to speed up import/export transfer is create an alpha plane or a terrain in Vue PLE (or Infinite or Xstream if you own them), assign a material, select  and export it as .3ds object  paying attention to check color and bump maps and map resolution at 400x400 and then simply import into Carrara; in the linked image walls painting, wood floor, wood side tables and sofa texture were made this way; obviously with Carrara you can reach same results but in Vue there are many excellent prompt shaders so why not to be useful of?

Many Thank you's for this tip!  Some of my favorite shaders are in Vue.
